Rap-Up.com || Alicia Keys Lights Up the Empire State Building

Alicia Keys celebrated the release of her new album Girl on Fire with a lighting spectacular. The New York-born songstress hit the switch on the Empire State Building as LED lights played in sync to her songs “Girl on Fire” and “Empire State of Mind (Part II).” It marked the first synchronized light show to take place on the famed New York City landmark.

“Watching the Empire State Building light up with GOF and Empire State of mind was BEYOND my wildest dreams!!” said Alicia.

No one deserves this kind of celebration or recognition more than Alicia. It’s about time, now how about the key. It was a beautiful site to see.

I TEARED UP WATCHING THIS LIGHT SHOW. SUCH AN AMAZING MOMENT FOR NY AND DEF. NO ONE DESERVES IT MORE THAN ALICIA KEYS. AFTER ALL US NEW YORKERS HAVE BEEN THROUGH THE LAST COUPLE WEEKS THE HOMAGE TO THE CITY WAS NOTHING SHORT OF INSPIRATIONAL!
