JoJo professes her love for a guy like Andre 3000 on “Andre,” the second offering from her upcoming mixtape Agápē. Produced by Mr. Frank and written by JoJo, the song was inspired by the OutKast rapper’s 2003 album The Love Below.
“He always fly as he wanna be/ Colder than a mother/ The girls always looking, but he’s just my lover,” sings JoJo, who will headline a show at The Roxy in L.A. on December 4.
Earlier this month, JoJo dropped “We Get By,” produced by The Backpackkids. Agápē will be available for download in December.

@ano, then she will start appearing in billboard hot 100, in the radio, commercials, TV shows, interviews, etc, etc, and they’ll said “Men, this JoJo is a sellout, her music is trash, bring real music, I’m tired of the same sh!t”
People that don’t like “mainstream music” and like underground artists just want to feel special liking someone that isn’t so popular. Truth hurts.
I’m not directly talking about you. I want that this “special people” see my comment, since your comment is in the top of the post.
Let’s see who takes the bait…

@Andy, That’s not really true. Cause usually all ‘mainstream’ music seems quite the same so liking something different from an artist who isn’t really popular and that’s what artists do, when they become popular the stay on the same basis they’re first popular song was on. But anyway, real music shouldn’t be based on if the artist isn’t popular or is

@Andy, it is only sell out when it is obvious they are doing something for the money and leaving who they are to get more fans vs doing their shit and having fans come to them. jojo would be sell out if she came out with a david gutta beat, weaing a thong n bra outfit and grinding on the floor doing a britney routine. and sing/rapping in just 1 octive being used.that is what makes a sell out. not because they get famous, but bc they left their true sound/artistry behind inorder to get famous and money

This is crazy cause this beat is very mainstream but the lyrics are creative and she got a nice mix of creativity but it’s easy to catch on to and sing. Like as soon as I was done listening the first time I was singing the melody. THAT’S how you know you have a hit. I’m just mad that Blackground is BSing on letting her drop new music. I loved “We Get By” as well. That shows that she can do mainstream music (with substance) AND she can do songs that are just pleasing to a more relaxed, adult contemporary crowd. She’s great and worth her weight in gold.

Why is it that when JoJo releases an R&B song that songs a bit dated everyone loves it, but when anyother artist like Ciara, Ashanti, Keri Hilson, Kelly Rowland, etc… release a song like this everyone is a critic? … I like this song but it sounds like an album filler and sort of dated..
