Rap-Up.com || Beyoncé Lets Down Her Guard in HBO Documentary [Trailer]

Beyoncé gives viewers an intimate look inside her life in her feature-length documentary, premiering February 16 on HBO. Described as “raw, real, and revealed,” the special will feature never-before-seen footage of the pop superstar including home videos from her childhood and candid moments offstage with her family including Jay-Z.

“I always battle with how much do I reveal about myself,” says Bey. “If I’m scared, be scared. Allow it, release it.”

Viewers will get to witness the physical and emotional demands as she records, rehearses for live performances, and balances family life, culminating with her return to the spotlight following the birth of her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.

Beyonce, THE PERFORMER, is FLAWLESS! Really in a category all her own. I feel like no one puts in as much hard work and effort into completely entertaining the crowd (live singing AND dancing) as she does. With that said, I feel like Beyonce, THE PERSON, is really rather bland with the personality of a paper bag and the vernacular of a 9th grader. I LOVE hearing her SING and seeing her perform, but when it comes to her just talking…she puts too much thought into what she wants to say and it seems like it always ends up coming out wrong. “If I’m scared, be scared…allow it, release it.” That cracked me up for some reason!

I love Beyonce, she’s a great role model that uses her sexuality in a way that is tasteful. Beyonce has never had to be overtly sexual, her vocal octave range is excellent and her class speaks for itself. The reason people feel Beyonce is boring is because the way she opens up is candid and she never feels the need to be an open book, why would she need to be an open book when her discography and music speaks for itself. This woman’s accolades in this industry spans more then ten years and Beyonce fans are classy! We follow her because we have a great musical ear. Beyonce is definitely the harest working at her craft but it doesn’t mean that there aren’t other great female singers out there. Although many people diss Ciara I find her choreograpy to be innovative and at the top tier in the female business, Monica and Brandy are R&B heavyweights and several others. The only disgusting specimen to me is Rihanna with her overt sexuality and poor example of what being a woman means and not to mention with all her musical prestige and after seven album her vocals are still not on the level, Thank God for publicity an Jay-Z. Rihanna’s squad is just mad that everytime Rihanna sells a record Beyonce and her husband are still making bank of it, toodles xoxoxo!
