Rap-Up.com || Video: 2 Chainz f/ The-Dream

The Grammy-nominated 2 Chainz drops the visuals for “Extremely Blessed,” his collaboration with The-Dream off his debut Based on a T.R.U. Story. Neither artist appears in the clip, which documents the life of a young lady. By day, she goes to school and takes care of her daughter, but at night, she works at a strip club so she can support her family because her baby daddy is not around.

The video leaves us with this message: “Sometimes we get through adversity only by imagining what the world might be like if our dreams should ever come true.”

My favorite song off the cd. I like the video and I get it, but I hope single mothers don’t begin to believe that stripping is the only way to pay your way through school. For some reason a lot of rappers have been using metaphors for that lifestyle. Different strokes for different folks.
