Rap-Up.com || JoJo Performs Acoustic Cover of André 3000’s ‘Prototype’

While her fans patiently wait for her mixtape Agápē, JoJo is showcasing her talents on YouTube. The Boston songstress shines with her acoustic cover of André’s 3000’s “Prototype” and Cole Porter’s “Night and Day” for the Fender Sessions.

With just a guitar and a mic, JoJo performs the soulful mash-up, which she previously debuted during her show at The Roxy in L.A. earlier this month.

Her latest single “Andre,” inspired by the OutKast rapper, will appear on Agápē, due later this month.

It dose not matter if she is Mainstream or not to be honest. Just making the good music that she does and still having a fan base from it is good enough. Just because she is not mainstream dose not make one irrelevant. I will get every mixtape made till her album come along. ^^

PERFECTION IN EVERY WAY! Saw her manager tweet about artists who have gone to do great things when the music business turned their back on them like when every label passed on JayZ at first or when labels dropped Alicia Keys, GaGa, and Katy Perry. They all regrouped and came back strong. I think JoJo will do the same. The girl is still young. What is she like 22/23?

Funny to see someone say JoJo never quite made it. She has sold millions of albums, been in huge hit films. Her career has stalled not b/c of whack records but because of a bad contract with a terrible label. You can’t stop a talent like this. She will be back bigger than ever.
Tamar Braxton had a career. She was way less successful than JoJo and irrelevant 2 years ago and she managed to launch her career at 36!!!! Goes to show you you can’t stop REAL TALENT. They will eventually make it as long as they keep trying.

Relevancy has nothing to do with success. You are relevant if someone is talking about you. Plus, how can she compete if her disfunctional embarrassment of a label can’t even make her music available for sale. These other girls have HUGE machines behind them making sure they blow up.
And I agree with @Bri. This girl will have her day again.
