Rap-Up.com || Tamar Braxton Performs ‘Love and War’ on ‘Wendy Williams’

Tamar Braxton surprised everyone when she topped the iTunes charts last week with her single “Love and War.” Still high off the ballad’s success, the “Braxton Family Values” reality star visited Wendy Williams to perform her new hit on Tuesday’s show.

After her rousing performance, Toni’s younger sister admitted that she was shocked by the song’s success. She also chatted about her friendship with Lady Gaga, which includes protecting her from the paparazzi.

@2bad2bme, I still don’t get how it made it too #1 on itunes when other R&b songs that were just as good, maybe even better couldn’t make it to #1…. Btw she sounds horrible here. Tamar can deliever a better vocal performance. ( she must have been nervous)

She can really sing. The song doesn’t sound like trust and believe to me but it does sound like I choose you off of Keyshia’s album. I wish Tamar would’ve did a whistle note.

It was dope and I’m glad that she had some little slips in there vocally because sometimes she sounds so perfect you’d think she wasn’t singing live. She had some slips so you can hear clearly that she’s singing live and she’s still DOPE. I want her to up the stage presence though.

I personally thought Tamar did great! It’s hard to hit those high notes while you’re nervous, which you could clearly see that she was. I love her voice though, nice tone. I’m sick of people hating on Tamar. She did awesome, and no she’s not Toni… she’s Tamar!

BOTH SONGS (keyshia coles) sound SIMILAR BECAUSE THEY WERE WRITTEN AND PRODUCED BY THE SAME PRODUCER. AND SO WHAT,ITS GREAT FOR R&B!

@lilda22, I agree. There are MANY songs that sound similar in every genre. Maybe people don’t know, don’t like or don’t listen to Keyshia Cole or vice versa. The best way not to get annoyed is to NOT listen to the song I think Tamar’s track is more powerful, great vocals.

Black folks always complaining and have something negative to say. First off go Tamar on your first live performance. I give her kudos for that and she was probably nervous. She did good, I’m sure over time she will get even better. We all know she can sing. 1. Toni & her are sisters, off course they going to sound similar but it’s only it the lower register. 2. At times it sounds like Trust & Believe but it’s clearly 2 different songs from 2 different artist. It’s her time to shine and she is hungry. Go Tamar always been a fan and yours time ma!!!
