Eminem famously sampled her single “Thank You” on his 2000 hit “Stan.” And now British singer-songwriter Dido recruits another one of Dr. Dre’s protégés, Kendrick Lamar, for her new single “Let Us Move On.”
The Compton MC quietly storms the dark track, produced by Dido, her brother Rollo Armstrong, and Jeff Bhasker.
“Got these burdens under my wings, but I’m still free,” raps K-Dot.
“Let Us Move On” is the lead single off Dido’s fourth album, due in March.
I feel like I’m back in the 90s, love it. I love that Dido can sound the same and still have a modern feel with Kendrick. I wish more artists could do this instead of trying to be “futuristic” soon robots will rap for them, oh wait auto-tune.
