Rap-Up.com || Frank Ocean’s Father Threatens to Sue Him

More money, more problems. Frank Ocean is riding a wave of good fortune, but not everyone is celebrating his success. The “Pyramids” singer’s father has allegedly threatened to sue him for a million dollars.

The normally reserved star took to Twitter to express his frustrations. “father wanna sue me for a million. like i owe him back child support. weak individual bought me a swiss knife at 6yrs old then dipped on me,” wrote Frank before deleting the tweet.

It’s unclear what exactly he wants to sue for. Ocean has publicly addressed his father’s absence on his song “There Will Be Tears” off his 2011 album nostalgia, ULTRA.

“i got his DNA though, maybe I inherited some of his karma too,” quipped the 6-time Grammy nominee.

He received support from his Odd Future groupmate, Tyler, the Creator, who wrote, “PLAY HIM INGLORIOUS AND TELL HIM I SAID HE’S A F WORD.”

I’d be really interested to learn the details of this lawsuit. I can’t imagine what grounds his father would have for filing suit on his son. You can’t get damages because your (alleged) bad parenting resulted in your child becoming a celebrity.
