J. Cole Pushes Back ‘Born Sinner’

J. Cole

J. Cole fans will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on his sophomore album Born Sinner. The Roc Nation rapper has delayed the project.

While hosting a New Year’s Eve gig at TAO Las Vegas, Cole revealed that the follow-up to his 2011 debut Cole World: The Sideline Story won’t arrive on his 28th birthday, as previously announced.

“It’s not gonna make January 28. It’s gonna be a little later than that. I needed more time,” he told PopStop TV.

The first single, “Miss America,” was released in November.

I don’t kno why he even gave that date in the 1st place. We have no video, album cover or mainstream single. I’ll say he puts it out in March.

All these artists keep saying they needed more time. The only reason why its getting pushed is because the first single was not successful and they have to rethink everything.

    Speechless Reply:

@Natasha, Wrong. Miss America was never intended for mainstream radio. This isnt Work Out. You have to do more than just release it for a song to be successful, it has to be promoted somehow. And this wasnt and that date was just 26 days away. Try again.

Cole is really testing his fans patience there’s bin no project released for over a year now. We was expecting the joint album with Kendrick and that never come to nothing Kendrick was on the low blaming Cole for that then there was this mix tape he made tracks for and that also didn’t happen. The we are made to stay up hella late to watch coles next album announcement and as dramatic as the video is we are led to believe the that it will defiantly be dropping on its planned released date which is Coles b-day. I know it will be fire when it does drop but Cole attitude since he made it has been annoying he is so fussy when it comes to choosing songs for his albums and keeping songs for his 5th or sixth album he ends up making big mistakes and giving songs away that would have been great for his album and instead leaving the okay ones for his album COLE WORLD FIX UP!

Man, I’m a little disappointed. I was looking out for Born Sinner! I understand, though. I want him to take as much time as he needs to put a solid project out…

@Lisa, as much time lol it’s been ages cole killing his own buzz

    Lisa Reply:

@Cole Falling Off, you’ll just have to be patient. An (at least) decent album will not fall into his lap. Let him take his time. There’s enough music out there to hold you over.

this guy is slowly killing his own buzz and being forgotten. im not a big drake fan but what he’s doing is what j. cole should be doing. 2 years, 2 albums and a world tour. keep the fans happy

You people are idiots. No true J. Cole fan is even remotely shocked by this, considering the dude said in interviews — time and time again — that he knew the date was a bit farfetched when he released it. And if anyone ditches himself because they can’t have Born Sinner when they want it, you’re all bandwagons.
