She’s written for Alicia Keys, Brandy, and Chris Brown. And now Sevyn Streeter gets her solo shine on in the video for her debut single “I Like It.”

The former RichGirl member shows off her fierce moves and bangin’ body in the dance-heavy clip, directed by Parris. Signed to Breezy’s CBE label, Sevyn is currently in the studio prepping her debut for Atlantic Records.

Expect big things from this rising star in 2013.

I had no idea who this chick was. So I googled her and found out she’s written some hot songs for some big names. so i gave the video a shot and was sooooo glad I did. First time i had heard this song and the video made it that much better. I hope people recognize her talent and go hard for her. I’m with everyone else with the hair. It looked too heavy to be on her head. Also didn’t care that the still shot above makes her look like Brooke Valentine. Other than that everything was near perfect! Good job Sevyn!

RichGirl screwed RichGirl. By staying on Jive even when they knew it was a career graveyard (or a career abortion clinic, if you will), they made the decisions that their album was never coming out.

Sevyn just did what she had to do…at least we’ll get to hear an ALBUM.

Decent track with hot choreo, but this just isn’t the business. It’s solid but not unique enough to pop off. It’s urban pop 101. I keep seein Kelly Rowland from the profile, but from the front she’s half Brooke Valentine half horsey. I liked RichGirl but if I wasn’t watching their videos I could never tell who was singing what. That said, He aint wit me now tho was HOT. Best of luck boo

Sevyn was always the star in Richgirl to me! People want to sit up here and compare her to Kelly Rowland because they are both dark skin females but they don’t compare the millions of light skin girls with the same look in the industry. There are distinct differences between both and at least sevyn write all her own ish! Sevyn that choreography was everything! What you did with that chair in the dance breakdown was amazing and reminded me a bit of Ciara going hard on choreography! I love chocolate females though and I want to see more Chocolate complected folks on TV! I will definitely be supporting Sevyn!

I’ve been playing this vid on repeat…there’s just something about her I can’t stop watching! I also appreciate that she’s got a thick back-up dancer!
I can kinda see the Kelly comparisons, but I’ve never seen Kelly dance like this so…yea.
It’s just really nice to see an Artist who can really sing, looks great and can really dance with a great track – plus she’s reppin for the chocolate folk :)

The song is good, not perfect but good and the video is great. I don’t understand how people will find anything to hate like for example her HAIR? TF! It’s about the music, why can’t people ever focus on the music instead of irrevelvent shit? Her hair looks alright to me btw. I taught Amber “Sevyn” when she was in 6th grade. I remember when she auditioned for ShowTime At the Apollo. I am very happy for her and her mother. She definitely did her an excellent job on her video, song, and dancing. All I can say is “Dream Big Kiddos” She is has arrived!
