Rap-Up.com || Maxwell Previews New Song ‘Gods’

Just last week, Maxwell posted a partial tracklisting for his upcoming album Summers’. And now he breaks us off with a 40-second snippet of one of the new songs, “Gods.” He recorded his computer screen as the audio plays through the speakers.

“If you want, you can fly, you can float/ You can walk, you can do what you want/ But if the smallest seed of feeling is left with you/ You will see you were wrong,” he sings.

It may not be much, but we’ll take what we can get.

I’m ready for the legend’s return. It would be cool if Kendrick and Breezy were on the new album too. That would be interesting.

@WonderLand19, as much as i am a breezy fan, i have to agree, two complete different sounds, its like mixing heavy metal and classical together, doesn’t mix… but i hear what you are saying, it could be interesting, but don’t think it would work….

Maxwell = quality and quality control. Just cause you like two artists doesn’t mean they’re meant to collaborate.

@DRB, chris brown is actually a high quality artist. most songs people acknowledge are his dance/rap songs.
as a chris brown fan i have acknowledged more than that. he actually makes solid songs that havent been put out the the whole world. chris is great.
a lot of people havent heard his mellow laid back and beautiful songs which is a shame.

Maxwell is one of the greatest artists i never seen a song with breezy will be cool but I would like to see a song with Beyoncé, it will be great !!
