Rap-Up.com || New Music: Parker – ‘So Beautiful’

Nicki Minaj starts out the new year by introducing her new artist Parker. The British singer-songwriter, who appears on “Hell Yeah” off Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – The Re-Up, is signed to Nicki’s new label, along with rapper Brinx.

“This song So Beautiful by Parker really makes me feel like bustin it open in slow motion tho… *shrugs* welp…” tweeted Nicki, who praised Parker’s many talents. “Wow, so proud. Writes, Sings & Produces everything he does.”

Parker’s mixtape Young, Dumb, & 21 is coming soon. Take a listen to the talent from across the pond.

Kinda dope… I almost wish Nicki didn’t give him the cosign though. LET ME EXPLAIN — It’s a double headed coin because of course the Nicki fans are going to support but the people who HATE her won’t. So you have a lot of people who’ll check it out simply because of the cosign and a lot of people who’ll immediately dismiss it for the same reason. Thus, the focus isn’t purely on the talent.
That being said, I like the track but it needs some more mastering. I like the lyrics but they’re lacking that “thing”. It could be an issue rectified by cleaning up the sound of it. A great song can be ruined by a sub-par mixing/mastering session.
