Rap-Up.com || Alicia Keys Performs at the People’s Choice Awards

Fresh from her family vacation in Whistler, Alicia Keys was back on stage, performing at the 39th Annual People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday.

Wearing a red quilted jacket, the Grammy-winning singer opened with the Bluelight version of her hit “Girl on Fire” while seated at the piano.

She got the crowd, including her husband Swizz Beatz and son Egypt, on its feet with her celebratory anthem “New Day,” delivering some choreographed moves with her troupe of male dancers.

Great performance but come on Alicia, you look just like my 45 year old mother sitting at a piano with your hair twist and my granny sweater. Never wear your hair like a granny or kiddie again!!! please

@REAL, You’ve got to be kidding. I loved Alicia and her performance and her style. She was so amazing. Her hair looked beautiful and the jacket was just perfect. Above all she sang beautifully and she was PERFECT.

@Diego, So why even watch? It’s clear that you’ll never be half the person Alicia is, but there’s no reason to insult her or be mad because she is such a huge success and an extremely talented lady. If you don’t care for her it’s pretty simple, don’t watch. No need for insults and criticism. Alicia is happy and “on fire” and I hope she continues to be blessed.

Alicia is the truth. Talented with a very powerful voice. I love this version of Girl on Fire and he heat she brought with “New Day”.

I enjoyed seeing Keys perform Girl on Fire and New Day, complete with her dance troupe. It was even cuter to see her husband and baby boy in tow. This performance and award show gave me and my DISH coworker a lot to talk about at work today so I’m glad I watched. Since I wasn’t home last night I set up my DISH Hopper to record it, using the PrimeTime Anytime feature. I was able to set this up to record all primetime programming that comes on the four major networks. This meant I didn’t have to worry about forgetting to set up an individual timer for the People’s Choice Awards.
