New Music: Wyclef Jean - 'Hip-Hop'

Wyclef Jean

Wyclef Jean writes a love letter to “Hip-Hop” on his latest record, which premiered on Power 105.1. The former Fugees frontman takes a trip down memory lane, honoring pioneers from the past like Afrika Bambaataa and KRS-One, and shouting out today’s newest stars like A$AP Rocky and Odd Future.

He addresses the latest drug trend in hip-hop (“I see molly is the new cocaine”), recalls appearing as an extra in a Rakim video, and pays respect to his own group (“I miss OutKast like people miss the Fugees”).

Bridge the gap with Clef.
