Rap-Up.com || Beyoncé Sings the National Anthem at President Obama’s Inauguration

Barack Obama was sworn in for his second term as President of the United States on Monday. Following the historic ceremony, Beyoncé had the honor of singing the National Anthem in front of the U.S. Capitol building.

Looking beautiful in a black Emilio Pucci gown and Lorraine Schwartz emerald jewelry, the pop superstar belted out “The Star Spangled Banner” accompanied by the U.S. Marine band. After her powerful rendition, she greeted the president and joined her husband Jay-Z in the crowd.

@aliciasahomewrecka, Tax payers having nothing to do with inaugurations. Inaugurations are paid by campaign funds. The only thing tax payers might be paying for is the extra police that have to be on duty. Other than that it’s money that was raised during his campaign. Not to mention Beyonce has done several “endorsements” of Obama on her own, FREE of charge. I doubt she would except such an outrageous figure to perform a 2 minute song.

She did amazing and for people saying she held back UH No she didn’t OVER do it. This is for the Inauguration not the Superbowl or anything else that is meant to entertain people and show out on. She held her own in the cold and with technical difficulties. I’m proud of her and kelly for doing their best. I can only imagine how nervous they where.

OMG, she sounded absolutely AMAZING. She looked STUNNING in that dress so elegant and classy. Her rendition was both powerful, soulful and pitch perfect no complaints here folks the only thing I wish she would have done is at the end if she had kept going higher like she did in 04 when she said BRAVE but either way, both were stunning performances and will go down as such. This is such an historic day and I am just very blessed to be part of such history. Obama’s 2nd term swearing in, MLK day these all mark such significant moments in history. I couldn’t be more proud.
