It was a Pink Friday takeover when Nicki Minaj visited “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Friday. With her Barbz in the audience, the blonde rap diva—clad in Roberto Cavalli—chatted about her “American Idol” gig, feud with Mariah Carey, and giving out nicknames to everyone from her mother to her fans (She even gave Guillermo his very own name). She later hit the outdoor stage to perform her Re-Up singles “Va Va Voom” and “Freedom.”

@Vicki, Nicki is cool no doubt. But there has to be a variety of entertainment in the female genre of rap. I can’t wait for other artist to drop music only to hear other sounds. There’s some really dope females in rap. I hope Kim new album shows growth. If you continue catering to the urban audience, you will LOSE. Read the comments on these blogs and you’ll realize the black audience segregate urban artist. However, white people don’ drag artist in lieu of supporting their fav. They support good music period.

This was a fun interview, it was interesting to hear from Nicki, about her feud with Mariah Carey and about her famous nicknames she gives everyone. My coworker first told me about this interview, while at work at DISH. I’m glad I didn’t miss it; I recorded it on my DISH Hopper. When I played the recording back I was able to start watching on my living room TV and then continued watching on my family room TV right where I left off. This made my housework a lot more enjoyable.
