New Music: Chrisette Michele – ‘A Couple of Forevers’

A Couple of Forevers

Chrisette Michele capped off 2012 by releasing her mixtape Audrey Hepburn: An Audiovisual Presentation. Now the R&B songbird starts her year on a high note with “A Couple of Forevers,” the first single off her fourth album Better.

“I’m the only one/ You’re the only one/ Together till never/ I’m talking about forever/ Just a couple of forevers,” sings Chrisette on the gorgeous love ballad, produced by Pop & Oak.

The song will be available on iTunes this Tuesday, while the follow-up to 2010’s Let Freedom Reign arrives April 30 via Motown Records.

    Sounds pretty good. The music is sampled from The O’Jays – Stairway to Heaven. Love Chrisette, her album should be good.

    This is simply R&B at its best. This is a sound that we have been missing for years, and she sampled this song very well from the O’jays :) I’m truly anticipated for her album this year.

    I love Chrisette. I feel like her label did her wrong with her last album. It got no support and I felt like it was just kind of put out there for the hell of it. I hope this next one does better for her. I’ll be purchasing…
