Rap-Up.com || Rihanna Covers Rolling Stone, Opens Up About Chris Brown

Rihanna sizzles on the sultry cover of Rolling Stone’s latest issue. A long-haired RiRi poses for a close-up, shot by famed photographer Terry Richardson. This marks her second time gracing the cover of the music magazine (Her first was in 2011).

RS interviewed the “Diamonds” singer at her $12 million Pacific Palisades mansion for their cover story entitled “Crazy in Love,” where she opens up like never before about her reconciliation with Chris Brown.

“I decided it was more important for me to be happy,” the 24-year-old singer tells the magazine. “I wasn’t going to let anybody’s opinion get in the way of that. Even if it’s a mistake, it’s my mistake. After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I’d rather just live my truth and take the backlash. I can handle it.”

While they’ve had a tumultuous past, their relationship has changed for the better. “You see us walking somewhere, driving somewhere, in the studio, in the club, and you think you know. But it’s different now,” she explains. “We don’t have those types of arguments anymore. We talk about shit. We value each other. We know exactly what we have now, and we don’t want to lose that.”

But if Brown was to repeat his mistakes, she won’t tolerate it. “He doesn’t have the luxury of fucking up again,” says RiRi. “That’s just not an option. I can’t say that nothing else will ever go wrong. But I’m pretty solid in the knowing that he’s disgusted by that. And I wouldn’t have gone this far if I ever thought that was a possibility.”

@Rhett, It’s easy to understand. They were best friends and lovers. Not to mention he was her first real love. You have to see it as an accident that happened. A big accident, I understand, but I also understand why she’s his friend again (like she mentioned ”I can’t ever see us going back”, which alludes to the fact that they are just friends). Briefly after the accident she was mad, she was angry, she didn’t want to ever see him again, but remember, they were best friends and lovers (love doesn’t fade away easily), so Rihanna’s anger and madness were there but those feelings were only temporary. When she recovered, she wanted back all that they had as best friends (and lovers maybe, we don’t really know), and that’s completely acceptable, so she made a choice, she chose being his friend again, and that’s all explicit in this interview. I think that’s good and the right thing to do, she forgave him. Everyone deserves a second chance, and he’s getting it. In my opinion we shouldn’t only try to understand the “victim”, but the “guilty” as well, because they both have things to say and more importantly they both are human and make mistakes. What she said here is spot on: “And sometimes people need support and encouragement, instead of ridicule and criticism and bashing.”
And I’m not saying that what he did was right, I’m saying that what he did was wrong, but we all make mistakes, so we all need a second chance.

Good for her, it takes an amazing, strong woman to forgive someone who has committed the ultimate betrayal. It takes a long time to heal and trust again. I don’t think they will be together forever, but at least they will have closure. I wish her only love and happiness. Proud to be a fan

I think they should finish what they started. I dont condone domestic violence but lets put ourselves in their shoes, how would we handle the situation. love is not the same for everyone. I believe they both want to experience love and happiness but their young so i dont think it will last forever. Thats riris 1st love the first love is the deepest. good for her to have closure in life. I believe they will still remain good friends even if their not in a relationship ;)

@Diferente Mas Igual, You have to understand that according to the actual police report Chris Brown had assaulted her multiple times before the infamous night it all became public- he tried to choke her to death and screamed ” I will fucking kill you” – I do not believe that was “an accident” – that was not “oops, my fist slipped on your face and my hands grabbed your throat and knocked your face against the dash board until blood gushed everywhere…whoops! excuse me riri!” It is understandable that as a victim of domestic violence, Rihanna can’t shake her addiction to him- it is extremely common for victims to be so attached to their abusers b/c of self-esteem issues. Your best friend or your lover does not show you love by beating the crap out of you multiple times
