Rap-Up.com || Timbaland Joins Roc Nation

Timbaland is down with the Roc. The super-producer has signed with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation for management.

The announcement was made on Jay-Z’s Life + Times website. “Roc Nation welcomes TIMBALAND to the family,” read the message.

Roc Nation represents some of the biggest stars in music including Rihanna, J. Cole, M.I.A., and Shakira.

Timbaland, who is still signed as an artist to Interscope Records, is currently in the studio working on Justin Timberlake’s comeback album The 20/20 Experience as well as Keri Hilson’s third album.

He recently partnered with 50 Cent on his SMS Audio headphones line. As part of the deal, Timbaland will serve as an investment partner and member of the company’s board of directors.

That’s a good move on Timbaland’s part. I miss the days when Timbaland was at the top of his game (i.e 2006 with JT, Nelly Furtado and his “Shock Value” album). I hope he gets his groove back with Justin’s new album.

@Jay Scorpio, Timbo has his own label… Mosley Music Group, which has OneRepublic and Keri Hilson signed.

But Timbo, like many other artists with their own label, is also signed to another label, might have management in a third and be distrubuted through a fourth…

Tim Far from broke, he is signing as in artist he was on blackground records and you know how bad they are with their artists they blocked so many songs from coming out of the Timbo vault and to the masses
