Rap-Up.com || Video: The Weeknd – ‘Twenty Eight’

The Weeknd lets us into his mind in the dark and sexual video for “Twenty Eight,” the latest single off his album Trilogy. While conducting a foreign interview, the Canadian crooner is unable to focus because he is haunted by visions of his ex-girl. The Nabil-directed clip (Kanye West, Frank Ocean) was shot in Eastern Europe and features topless strippers and girl-on-girl action, with the mysterious undertone which has become his signature.

For the negative comments and “could’ve been a better video”, You aren’t ready for The Weeknd. This video’s has a meaning. All his songs express what he feels. The video shows how he compares his own music to good sex. ‘This house is not a home to you’ shows how he feels about hitting the mainstream. The mainstream is not his home, the underground is, he feels like a stranger to all this. ‘But who keeps calling on your phone?’ depicts how mainstreamer’s demand for him and how labels and the media want a piece of him, that’s how he’s brought up in the video with an interviewer. For the mainstreamers, leave him to us.. You don’t deserve real talent. FAN SINCE 2010. XOTILWEOVERDOSE.
