After performing at the Super Bowl and starring on NBC’s “Smash,” Jennifer Hudson is getting back to the music. The Grammy-winning diva was back in the lab on Monday, laying the groundwork for her third album. She tweeted photos of herself in the studio with producer Salaam Remi.
“Ok ! Here we go guys! First day of recording my album!! @Salaamremi is everything !!” tweeted J-Hud, later adding, “I had the best day in the studio with @salaamremi! He let me be me!”
Hudson’s last album, I Remember Me, was released in 2011 and spawned the singles “Where You At” and “No One Gonna Love You.”

@#BEENTRILL, Childish response. You either like her music or you don’t, whether she’s successful or not shouldn’t even come into it.

Definitely have to disagree…her resume speaks for itself. She is constantly busy with movies and televison as well as music. God’s hand is definitely on her life and he is causing her life to obtain great success!!!!

Jennifer needs more REAL SONGS that showcase her voice. Just look at Adelle; she’s beating everyone by simply letting her voice shine with soulful music. That SHOULD be Jennifer, but Jennifer keeps putting out these crappy teenybop songs that are completely forgettable. Jennifer needs more material like “Spotlight” “And I’m Telling You” type stuff that’s mature and soulful.
Jennifer remains a top-notch and in-demand singer even if her catalog of music isn’t the greatest. She singing on the Oscars, Super Bowl for the president etc….
