Legends of the Summer Tour

History will be made this summer when Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake team up for the “Legends of the Summer” stadium tour. After reports surfaced earlier this month, the pop megastar and hip-hop icon have made it official by announcing dates for the once-in-a-lifetime event.

The 12-date trek kicks off at Toronto’s Rogers Centre on July 17, playing stadiums across the U.S. including New York’s Yankee Stadium, Chicago’s Soldier Field, L.A.’s Rose Bowl, and Boston’s Fenway Park, wrapping on August 16 at Miami’s Sun Life Stadium.

The tourmates most recently collaborated on “Suit & Tie,” the first single off Timberlake’s upcoming album The 20/20 Experience, and performed together at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards.

This is not Jay-Z’s first time sharing the bill with other superstars. In the past, he toured with R. Kelly on the ill-fated “Best of Both Worlds” tour in 2004, Mary J. Blige on the “Heart of the City” tour in 2008, Eminem on 2010’s “Home & Home” two-city tour, and most recently Kanye West on 2011-2012’s “Watch the Throne” outing.

Tickets for all dates except New York go on sale to the public on Thursday, February 28, at LiveNation.com. Citi cardmembers will have access to pre-sale tickets beginning Friday, February 22, at 12 noon local time through Citi’s Private Pass Program.
