Keri Hilson Pleads with Haters to Leave Her Alone: ‘Enough Is Enough!’

Keri Hilson

Keri Hilson is ready to leave the past behind and move on. The R&B diva is calling for an end to the years of criticism she has endured.

The “Pretty Girl Rock” singer has been the target of insults since 2009 when she recorded a remix to her single “Turnin’ Me On.” The song sparked controversy for its suggestive lyrics. “Your vision cloudy if you think that you the best/ You can dance, she can sing, but need to move it to the left,” she sings.

Immediately, listeners started speculating that Keri was dissing Beyoncé or Ciara, which she denied.

“miss me with the drama,” Miss Keri tweeted on Monday, provoking some to interpret her words as shade. But instead of ignoring them this time, she pleaded for her haters to leave her alone.

“It’s TOO much!! Please! Is everything I tweet gonna be ‘intentionally misinterpreted’ as a statement abt someone/drama I know nothing about?” she said.

A vulnerable Keri admitted that she has been hurt by the hate. “You have no idea what your hateful words could do to someone’s spirit. Years of verbal abuse from strangers all day long. Enough is enough!” she declared.

“I’m here for MY FANS! I’m stronger than you imagine, but waking up/goin to bed to your ugliness is just TOO MUCH, kids. I get it, ok? You can stop now.”

She continued, “As far as WHATEVER ur really mad about, I had my reasons. It’s been yrs! Just chalk it up to your ignorance of my reality and LET…IT…GO. As for my mistakes, God has dealt with me.”

But she won’t let her haters keep her down. “I’m at peace. I’m fine. I’m fulfilled. Truly happy. Grateful. Ready. Stepping back in. The best is yet to come…..don’t balee me juh watch!”

Keri has been in the studio with Timbaland and Polow Da Don working on her third album, due this year.

Her problem is that she simply just isn’t likeable. She comes across as standoffish, rude and quite full of herself, which is interesting considering her limited solo success. Her music is barely passable, even after working with some amazing producers. The Beyonce thing took it to a different level but I’m hard pressed to have any sympathy for her. Yes, it was ultimately her fault for doing it in the first place, but Polow deserves the blame for the leak, because Keri never wanted it released.

So i wouldn’t doubt her dissing other females in the game as well, if she wants to be a bitch, she better handle it.

You’re not a peace if you’re pleading for people to leave you alone.

We can block people on twitter for a reason Keri. If you really were fine and dandy, you’d block them and move on. Let people take shit wrong if they want.

    Addressing it doesn’t help.

you’re all SOO RETARDED for keep thinking that that song was addressed to king b… no!
the world doesn’t move when she walks.. beyonce wouldn’t be in the industry without the help of songrwitters and choreographers, so stop the shade and face it… she only can sing, nothing else… too much jelausy i can see here and on twitter, and you make me puke.. it’s like beyhive doesn’t hace a life.. they are only here for hating on keri

and that’s the thruth.. loosers, internet junkies, without a life, that bully paople on twitter make them feel better, because of their own empty life.

Can’t wait for common sense takes over some of you. It will be a beautiful thing. Instigate drama..do all you can to assist in making someone elses life miserable. I am sure Beyonce or Ciara can handle their own problems because that’s what adults do!! Yall going hard to crush Keri for someone you don’t know and I’m sure personally they only give a damn about you “collectively”…as long as you continue lacing their pockets. Grow up…that’s why this world is a damn mess now!

@GetALife, AMEN!! Scrolling through these hateful comments just makes me so sad for the future of entertainers. All these miserable haters must have a terrible like to just go around spewing evil at people, on behalf of starts who could care less about them. SMH. I’m signing off and getting back to things that matter. This kinda stuff ticks me off. Some of y’all wicked folks need Jesus!

from what I gather, most of you are holding a track over her head from four years ago like she said it just last week(pathetic shit numero uno). 2nd you probably follow her on twitter, just to bash because if you don’t like someone or something on twitter or IG then you won’t know about it unless you follow or search the hashtag (pathetic shit #2). lastly, If Beyonce ever came on Rap-up and read some of these comments “in her honor”, she’d probably leave a personal message for you all to stop being her fans. as if you ever really were.

    KERI WHO?
    WHO IS SHE?
    IS SHE FAMOUS?

  43. yooooooooo

to mee its quite obvious that keri wouldn’t feel the need to diss another artist unless that person did something bad to her or someone she knows in the industry. So can you really blame keri when she’s probaly mad at the way beyonce discredits REAL SONWRITERS (such as keri) and pretends that she wrote the song. If i was keri, i would be mad as well. And its not like i hate beyonce and bash her for stealing songs, SO LEAVE KERI THE FUCK ALONE AND WASTE YOUR TIME SAYING NICE THINGS TO BEYONCE RATHER THAN BASHING PEOPLE YOU DONT LIKE. theres no need for negatity. so get the fuck over it- if you dont like keri, simply leave her alone.. oh wait, must be hard for all you ‘haters’ because you’s are probably listening to ‘Pretty girl rock’ right now and secretly like keri… smh KERI MAKES GOOD MUSIC. If you dont like her, just LET IT GO

I wish like hell u people would stop critacizin Ms.Keri baby!! Her opinion Is her truth.therefore anything that she has stated regardless to whoever it focused on is her business.it is wat it is.shes creative and beautiful inside out.I’m a huge fan of Hilson because as stated above she actually writes her own songs and they take you there.that’s much more den I can say for those characters u all call artists.Besides the statements she made were years ago, and its dam sure not the worst we’ve ever heard in the industry.she said it and its done.move on haters
