Rap-Up.com || Ciara Sets ‘One Woman Army’ Release Date

Ciara is bringing the heat this summer. The R&B songstress has announced a release date for her fifth album.

According to a press release from Epic Records, One Woman Army will arrive on June 4 featuring the single “Body Party.” The sultry song, which she co-wrote with her boyfriend Future, is now available on iTunes.

Ciara opens up like never before on the follow-up to her 2010 album Basic Instinct. “One Woman Army represents the acceptance of my emotional vulnerability when it comes to love,” said CiCi, who showcases her own writing on the album.

OWA boasts production from Tricky Stewart, Rodney Jerkins, The Underdogs, and Rock City, plus collaborations with Nicki Minaj and Rick Ross.

Fans can also catch Ciara in a reoccurring role on BET’s “The Game” starting Tuesday, March 26.

The only thing now is promotion & C-Squad. I can see so far her & Future’s relationship is a good thing for her career. Hopefully she can balance her love life with her music. Obviously they make a good couple, (ATLiens) but let’s focus on the music for now.

Body Party is already #2 on iTunes R&B and #90 on iTunes Main. All Ciara needs to do is some live promo performances, interviews and stay active on social media and have Body Party released on radio and she’ll be cool. She has 3 whole months to promote Body Party and the album as a whole and if she does that, she’ll be cool. OWAisn’t gonna sell like 200-250k in the first wk, but if the promo is strong and Body Party does well, I’m predicting first wk sales at least in the 125k range and if the following singles perform well, especially the summer singles, OWA can at least do a solid 750k in the US and around 1.5-2 million WW….

This album will be a success. I doubt the industry will let her fade away. She clearly has the vocals, dance and sex appeal. The industry clearly needs a female R and B artist that has that mid-range/mid-tempo range. Ciara’s is just too big of a brand to fail. It won’t be good for R and B or Hip Hop to have one of their own fall.

I don’t understand why all the hate on Ciara. She’s talented, has an awesome personality, has the looks.

Ciara will make this her comeback. Her voice has grown a lot since than. I think other stans have just grown to love to hate the “other” female artist for no good reason.

That, is sad.

Love Cici so much but y did she wait i mean the label wait soooo long to release 1woman army?! Like I’ve been waiting a good couple of months, I just hope this album puts her back on top where she belongs. I am getting sick of seeing the same artists dominating the charts I need cici, her label, manager, team, and la Reid to bring it really bring it. There should be no room for mishaps and errors this is the chopping block and her fans need Ciara to be iconic one of these days. I just have a wavering feeling ever since I heard she signed with epic and la Reid that she would break out on top with this new look and album. Idk right now but it’s just the thought and feeling I have that Ciara will become iconic and very successful 1 day I don’t know when but I feel it this is the time for her to be invested deeply in this project I need ci 2 want 2 sell at least 70k-80k this time round. I don’t want the album to flop because i like to see all the girls win, but i think it is because she not really promoting the singles and body party is the only good so far and it is flopping. As a fan i am disappointed in her, you would think her and her team would have their shit together by now.
