Justin Timberlake Sings, Acts, and Grooves on ‘Late Night’

Justin Timberlake

Is there anything Justin Timberlake can’t do? The triple threat was back for day 3 of his week-long stint on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.” He participated in two skits and performed a new song off his album The 20/20 Experience.

First up, he joined Jimmy and Steve Carell in a skit called “Real People, Fake Arms,” where he played the co-owner of a suit and tie store, using mannequin hands instead of his own.

He and Jimmy put on white wigs and gave their best Michael McDonald impression while singing “Row, Row, Row Your Boat,” with a little help from the real Michael McDonald.

To top it off, he performed “Let the Groove Get In” for the first time, jamming alongside The Roots and J.T. and the Tennessee Kids.

@King, lol, I swear the JT hate is at an all time high. Sure — the masses are capable of singing, dancing and acting but if there is no charisma and starpower at play, they’re gonna be overshadowed.

@Paige, I just know that JT could do better. He is a VERY talented man. He sings better than most, he dances better than most and he can write a song that could give you a orgasm !! But “Suit & Tie” isn’t as powerful as his other singles and “Mirrors” sounds mad dated. I want more “Until The End Of Time” amd “Summer Love” and less Timbaland-farts-crafted into a song. :)

@Hov, But nobody’s doing it right now and are as successful as JT, so stay in your seat Hov.

@Hov, Yeah, but unless they’re on a national stage, the world at large can’t hear it. So what is your point?

You know, it’s funny how 6,7 years ago, people were having a field day with Future Sex Love Sounds and singing JT’s praises. Hell, just last year half the comments on a JT related post were “Where’s the new music?” and now half of the comments on most of his posts are negative as if 20/20 isn’t a great album. The trolling is at an all time high — it’s Timberlake, not Bieber. He’s matured. Similarly, people craved a new Alicia Keys album and — granted GOF isn’t my favorite AK release — all hell broke lose when it scarcely met expectations.

I think a live performance of this song is just what I needed. While I still regard it as the worst on the album, I doubt necessarily find it horrible anymore.

His voice is so weak and limited. I’m not drinking the JT kool aid this time around. Ripping off old soul and R&B songs with a Timbaland twist is not profression. Wack.

@Juicy, Your wack…. Justin has a falsetto voice. Falsetto’s sing at a higher pitch that at times may come off as “weak” If you heard the album you can hear his voice is on point. Hes one of few artist who likes to sing live with no type of background tracking. Let me see you get up on stage dancing around for a prolong period of time and try to sing at a falsetto pitch.

@Juicy, Ignorant post. You clearly know nothing about JT and his music. Have a seat.
