With his third album The 20/20 Experience in stores today, Justin Timberlake debuts the cinematic video for his second single “Mirrors.”
The eight-minute clip, which he dedicates to his grandparents William and Sadie, follows a love story that lasts the test of time. J.T. makes an appearance towards the end, showcasing a few of his smooth moves.
According to early estimates, the album is expected to sell as much as 600,000 copies in its first week.
Justin Timberlake is …. Amazing … any negative comments are irrelevant .. he has and will continue to slay your ears and your eyes .. i DO NOT CARE … Legend.
Trying not to tear up… But you just don’t find good music, Great video and True Love that this video reflects… Hands Down Point Blank Period… AMAZING!!!!
@Ursula, How is that a fail? Justin Timberlake and Timbaland appear to have worked very hard on this album. I, for one, am thankful he didn’t sell us out for electropop and techno. You may not like him, but don’t knock his craft. He went from a boyband to Justified to FSLS to this.
@Carrington, Thankyou!!! I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels the same way. He Didn’t Sellout and go down the Tired Techno/electronic pop route and try and pass it off as RnB
@Ursula, Oh, come on! The guy has been absent from the music scene for 7 years. Don’t you think people missed him? lol…if Drake’s Take Care can sell 631K in its first week with his having released Thank Me Later only the year before, don’t be surprised for an R&B/pop singer who has been doing comedy flicks to be embraced with open arms.
@Ursula, You must be very ignorant. Don’t you know its JT? He is one of the few people I will actually give my money to. He has fans of all ages. How long has Justin been going? Since the 90′s!
Stop being bitter just because no one is checking for your fav artist. Silly girl!
Good video. I was loving it until he came in. The video was all emotions but once he started dancing, it became very concise and premeditated and lost the heart and feeling for me. I know its choreography, but it was too sharp, as were a lot of his looks in the mirrors.
@kate, Oh yes an album that goes gold in a week, and probably platinum in a month with a top 10 single that’s already platinum is definitey a flop. GTFOH!
The only song other than “Dont Hold The Wall” that I like from the album. Amazing video though. On a side note though JT’s dancing skills have fallen or is it That Ive never noticed.
Love the song, love the concept of the video, although I think his contribution to the video was really lazy. That dancing was whack; so wooden. I would have much preferred it if he had been the main guy & they’d made him look younger & older. The album is growing on me.
Anyways, Well done JT for doing over 600,000 first week. thats amazing. He has really put RnB back in to mainstream ears. Hopefully this new mainstream interest into RnB will continue for other RnB artists like Chris Brown, Miguel, Luke James, Dawn Richard and Elle Varner. Half way through the album and i’m liking it. Timbaland is clearly the star of the album. His productions are stunning, creative and bang on.
LOVE IT!!! Beautiful video!!! I love how it feels like a journey. I will be watching this one over and over again. I want those shoes. HA! JT always knows how to make those songs/videos that you don’t want to ever end. Nobody is more excited than I am that he’s back. I’ve been listen to The 20/20 Experience all day. I see why it’s call an experience. It’s so much more than just an album. It has this flow to it. It’s not easy to make someone forget that they’ve been listening to a song for over 5-8 mins, but he does it. I will be jamming this album all year.
Every song is a stand-out and unique in it’s own way. My favorites would have to be, “Suit & Tie,” “That Girl,” “Don’t Hold the Wall,” “Pusher Love Girl,” “Strawberry Bubblegum,” “Tunnel Vision,” and “Mirrors,” which is melodically genius (can’t get that one outta my head). I could dance to “Let the Groove Get In” all day. I could lay on my back with my eyes closed and listen to “Blue Ocean Floor” for hours. I’m already learning the words. I love how each song transition into the next. I’m so glad I got the deluxe version. The more songs the better.
I had no idea he worked with James Flauntleroy. Flauntleroy is one of the best songwriters out there. Could not have been a better combination. JT and Timbo just have this undeniable chemistry in the studio and now you can add J Flaunt to that. They simply can’t be stopped. The vocals, production, lyrics and vocal arrangements are insane. Vocal placement is so important and JT always gets it right. REPEAT!!!! Now I really can’t wait for Part 2!!!! Yessir!!! :)

#EPICFAIL 600,000??? It’s a crying shame that sponsors and record companies will forge and self-buy to boost album sales of non-talented artists.
