Rap-Up.com || Keyshia Cole Performs on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

Amidst the Beyoncé controversy from earlier in the day, all eyes were on Keyshia Cole when she took the stage on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Monday.

The blonde songstress poured her heart out as she belted the ballad “Trust and Believe” off her latest album Woman to Woman. She also delivered “I Choose You” for the encore.

Keyshia will kick off her “Woman to Woman” tour with Chrisette Michele on March 28 in Westbury, New York.

She speaks her mind which is something alot of critics do but no one seems to direct anger at them. Who says Keyshia can comment on music when she obviously is a vet and knows music herself? In regards to the rest of your seemingly biased comment, it’s okay to have an opinion…hey, you either like her music or you don’t…but calling her a “perfect reflection of a new pathetic generation of dumb followers, etc” there are MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS of people who think otherwise…You have to give credit where it’s due…Beyonce has set the bar HIGH for ALL musical entertainers in the industry, and most (including icons, legends, moguls, critics, and newbies) have a high respect for her work. She has influenced MANY other singers, successful or not, and she’s the hardest working female singer in the game…so despite your dislike for her music and even her as a person (although you don’t even know her personally), you cannot deny or discredit the amount of hard work and talent that she has shown throughout her lengthy career.

What you may consider a “star”, others may not, so that “we have the stars that we deserve” comment doesn’t justify anything…especially since most people will gladly say, KING BEY is a STAR!! ;-)

I’m glad she performed “I Choose You.” That song is one of the best tracks off her new album. As a HUGE Beyonce fan, I can see where she is coming from with her comments regarding her new track. I think all of us Beyonce fans would prefer the Queen B to be a bit more toned down and humble…I don’t like hearing her say, “bow down bitches.” Not to mention, Keyshia has clearly stated in the past that she is indeed a Beyonce fan.
