Usher and Young Jeezy Are Back in the Lab

Usher and Young Jeezy are cooking up another smash. After topping the charts with 2008’s “Love in This Club,” the ATL superstars reunited in the lab to record for Usher’s upcoming album. With Jermaine Dupri behind the boards, the two logged a late-night session at J.D.’s Atlanta studio.

Usher has been working closely with his longtime collaborator J.D. on the follow-up to 2012’s Looking 4 Myself.

“It’s gonna be frickin’ out of here,” Usher previously said of the project. “Space and sky is what it will be. If you look up, it’s everything you could imagine.”

Meanwhile, Jeezy has been killing the clubs with his latest anthem “R.I.P.,” for which he just dropped a remix featuring Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, and YG.

Peep more pics from Usher and Jeezy’s Saturday night session below.

I’m excited for this collab, because that last one was awful and inexcusable for an Usher comeback record. To this day, I find Love in This Club overrated, so hopefully Usher can pull a bag of tricks out for this new album.

@Dan, The remix to the song featuring Beyonce and Lil Wayne was way better.

The more pics I see, the more excited I get. Usher just needs to do Usher. Talk about that real sh*t males and females can relate to. No songs about bubblegum.

Confessions 2.0? I’m getting really excited for this album, everyone he has been working with have been calling it a game changer, you just know that he is not playing around this time.

2013 has potential to be the best year for music in a long time. First A$AP & JT put out dope albums, and then you got J. Cole, Drake, & Big Sean putting out hopefully great Hip-Hop albums. Whatever Kanye, Jay-Z, and Eminem are working on, I hope they’ll be masterpieces. And I hope Usher & Chris Brown can go back to making great music like they used to.

@ddd, Wrong, A$AP’s album leaked in 2012, but it wasn’t released officially in stores and on iTunes until January 15th of this year

@jhuntdaprodigy, Correct. And I’ve been preaching the same thing since January. 2013 is the best year in music since 2004, which is the year I regard as the last good year for Urban music.

Forget Jeezy, I think the most important thing is that Usher is back with Jermaine Dupri. I need Confessions Pt. II with this album. Give me some classics like “Do It To Me” or “Burn”.

Usher is so fake. When RnB wasn’t at the top of the charts. He abandoned the music and fans that gave him international fame and made him very rich , for the next thing going to get more fame and money which was EDM. But instead he lost fans, album sales, and most important RESPECT from the music in which people gave him top honor for. Next JT drops a full RnB album selling million, sold out shows, gaining respect, Usher runs back in the studio trying to push out a RnB album, when just last month he was still riding the Techno wave. We see you Usher. We see You.

I’m cool with Jeezy music but, as far as Usher, Jeezy isn’t the one. Ludacris should be doing the record IF USHER COLLABS WITH A RAPPER AT ALL…because frankly, Usher rocking with JD again is enough said so I don’t really see the need for him to be talking collaborations at all right now. Anyhow, I will be buying this album for sure. Maybe we’ll get a Confessions 2. That would be some shit to ride to for sure.

@Bandz, Unless Luda has had a musical epiphany too, I’d rather they don’t hit up the studio and churn out some wack David Guetta crap.

Usher has the ability to really kill the R&B game and sell millions of records again…He just need to focus and get back on his grind, I have faith he can make some good music again
