Big Sean and Kid Cudi

Kid Cudi may no longer be signed to G.O.O.D. Music, but there’s no love lost when it comes to his labelmate Big Sean.

During an interview with Power 106, Sean said that he supports Cudi’s decision to leave Kanye West’s label. “Cudi is not only my labelmate, he’s one of my good friends,” said Sean, who revealed that Cudi gave him his Jesus piece after he lost his. “That’s my brother.”

He learned about the news from Twitter. “That’s his business though. He ain’t gotta call and let everybody know what he’s doing businesswise.”

But he did have his suspicions. “You could just tell certain things when it would be all of us together. I would be like, ‘Where Cudi at?'”

Sean doesn’t know why he left the label, but the two remain friends. “All I know is that’s my dawg. Whether it’s G.O.O.D. Music or not, Cudi’s still one of my favorite artists, one of my favorite people.”

He also denied that his new song “Switch Up” is about his ex-labelmate. “It’s way too hard to be beefing or taking sides over little stuff that don’t make sense.”

Cudi will be featured on Sean’s upcoming album Hall of Fame. “Cudi’s on my album. Me and him making music together. We still cool. Whether it’s G.O.O.D. Music or not, that’s my dawg.”
