Beyoncé Flaunts Bikini Body, Debuts New Song in H&M Summer Commercial

Beyoncé

Beyoncé soaks up the sun in her scorching-hot commercial for H&M’s summer collection. In the fun and flirtatious ad, which was directed by Jonas Åkerlund (“Telephone”) in Nassau in the Bahamas, Mrs. Carter dances in the sand and splashes in the sea while modeling swimwear and beachwear. She sports a black bikini on the sandy shores, performs choreography in a flowing sun dress, and gets soaking wet in a bodycon dress.

The 90-second spot also features the debut of her Sia-penned song, “Standing on the Sun.” The clothing will be available beginning in May at H&M stores worldwide and online.

“I’ve always liked H&M’s focus on fun and affordable fashion,” says Beyoncé. “I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements—fire, water, earth and wind. It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island. It felt more like making a video than a commercial.”

    [Reply]

    KaramelKisses Reply:

@TIFFANY, she looked to rihanna for inspiration? girl, bye! she rocked black hair for her countdown video in 2011. the island themed music is a sound that she also played w/ back in 2004 or 2005 for her hit song baby boy. here’s a news flash, there is absolutely NOTHING new under the sun. just because rihanna did it, doesn’t mean she created it. it only means that she, like everyone else in the industry, borrowed it & put her twist on it.

This is a new strategy for promoting an album, I don’t think that people would be buy it. I don’t know, it’s just the “excitement” or the element of surprise would be gone when the album is out. and again ,I don’t know, but, com’on! THIS IS BEYONCE! The songs that were being spoiled are actually pretty good. Such a good feel music!

    SIT DOWN PLEASE Reply:

@Oh, Baby Boy was released in 2003 (dancehall) . Rihanna came in 2004/2005 !
Déjà Vu tribal dance was in 2006; Rude Boy (safari theme) thing was in 2010 !
    do you want other examples?

Haters gotta have stadiums full of empty seats and sit there!
I like Rihanna but this is too much about virtual competition

    [Reply]

    KaramelKisses Reply:

@SIT DOWN PLEASE, thank you! these rihanna fans think that her lame ass hung the moon and she didn’t. and you’re right, there should be any competition because beyonce is in a whole different stratusphere. when rihanna can slay a stage & have the likes of prince, diana ross, stevie wonder, patti labelle, dolly parton, etc praising her for her vocal abilities & performance … then we’ll talk.

Dont get me wrong I love B and I´m one of her biggest fans, but I´m tired of her commercials, documentary or Worldtour with that old stuff. She´s been so present this year and your heard every month something new from her, but never new music. I´m tired of that all that covermagazines and the other stuff, I want new music, Please B! At least a date for her new music

YEEEESSS B!!!!! HA! I LOVE IT!!!! I’m really feeling this tribal thing Beyonce has going on right now. Beyonce looks and sounds amazing as usual. The dark hair looks so good against her skin and she DOES look a lot younger. I love the vibe to the song, production and all. I gotta hear the whole thing!!!! Sia is my girl!! You can’t go wrong working with Sia. I’m REALLY trying not to be impatient. She got me acting like I did when Dangerously in Love came out…the anticipation. I’m so pumped right now!!!! The ad is amazing!!! It could even serve as a music video. She’s making me wanna go shop at H&M, which I never have before. HA! I can’t wait for Grown Woman, the video and the album to drop!!!!! REPEAT!!!! YEEAAAAH B!!!!!!

The song sounds ok, I hope that Beyoncé can still keep it up because 4 was such an underrated album, some of her best songs to date are on this. I would love to enjoy her new album as well as I did not enjoy the previous 2 before 4.

Beyonce always had a weird effect on me. When I first hear her songs I either hate them or not impressed. After the 4th or 5th time Im like in love with it. It’s like she’s brainwashing me or something. Anyway this is a good song regardless. She could have just sang over a bunch of euro pop beats & said here. But she makes an effort to give good quality music. Not to mention that she can actually SING. Lets be real most artist today are releasing albums every year w/ generic sounds. Not to mention that they are going to be nothing once their looks begin to fade & all they’ll have to rely on is their talent or lack thereof….
