Rise Up

While we patiently wait for Beyoncé’s new album, the pop icon has something to hold fans over. Queen B has recorded an original song for the Epic soundtrack.

“Rise Up” was written by Beyoncé and Sia (“Diamonds”) and produced by Hit-Boy (“Bow Down”) and Chase N. Cashe (“Drop the World”). The track will be released by Bey’s label, Columbia Records, this month.

In addition to the soundtrack, Beyoncé lends her voice to Queen Tara in Twentieth Century Fox Animation and Blue Sky Studios’ 3D CG adventure comedy. The film hits theaters nationwide on May 24.

The 31-year-old singer is currently playing shows overseas on “The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.” The U.S. leg kicks off June 28 in Los Angeles.
