New Music: Usher – ‘U.O.E.N.O. (Remix)’

Usher

Rick Ross, A$AP Rocky, 2 Chainz, and Wiz Khalifa have all guested on Rocko’s single “U.O.E.N.O.” But now it’s Usher’s turn to flex. “The Voice” star gets on his cocky flow, boasting about his $500,000 car and G5 jet.

“Gotta few new confessions for you, stay tuned for it,” says Ursh. “I heard somebody said I fell off, but my bank account ain’t show it.”

Oww!

Damn Usher killing folks. People took Usher doing something different as him selling out or whatever. He is showing he’s still Ursher Baby!

@yaya, It was selling out, and resulted in a flop, he knows this everyone else knows this. Now hes trying to go back, I wish him the best .

    Yaya Reply:

@LeaveItAtThat, selling out is when you forget where you came from and act new. Usher has had R&B tracks on EVERY album. The R&B fans just are so picky they didn’t support the R&B more than his pop fans supported the pop tracks. Either way, he never left R&B. I actually have his albums, so I know.

@Yaya, His pop fans supported him? Why did “Looking For Myself” his “POP” album flop so hard. Little to do with promotion, a lot to do with it being such a horrible album.

I just noticed that Usher said “04 did a mill in a week and didn’t pay for it” – wonder if he’s talking about those artist who get a lil help with sales.

@yaya, How sad Usher is still living in 2004, which was almost a decade ago.. Usher latest hasn’t even went gold.

    Yaya Reply:

@LeaveItAtThat, it’s called having a classic album. Is it sad that people still talk about Beat it or Billie Jean in regards to MJ? Most artist wish they could be as “sad” as Usher.

We all know is last album didn’t sale well. We also all know he barely promoted it. That’s his fault…oh well.

@Yaya, The more and more Usher sell out his roots, the less important “Confessions” will be.

Glad he’s addressed that. He ventured outside of R&B to show his diversity and crab niggas called him a “sellout.”

    [Reply]

    Wiz Reply:

@Frankie, He did sell out, and niggas didn’t have anything to do with it. Usher made the decision to make music his people and fanbase couldn’t listen to.

True, Usher you did fall off, and a mix tape remix isn’t going to change that. Your last album only sold 125,000 first, week and haven went gold yet, compared to JT at 968,000 first week and he’s on double platium status and yall were in the same league. If that isn’t falling off, what is? Your bank account may not show it now, but it will..

    Yaya Reply:

@LeaveItAtThat, You JT fans are funny. JT only made that D’Angelo/Frank Ocean rip off to pay his debt for buying Myspace. They were about to get at him if he didn’t pay back that money lol.

Usher is making money just sitting in a red chair and watching people sing. So, I doubt his bank account will suffer any time soon.

    [Reply]

    Wiz Reply:

@Yaya, But when is Usher going to make money off of music again. Say what you want, but JT is making his money off music and tours. It seems as Usher can’t, to he is at the point that he HAS to sit in the red chair to make his money?

You people are so stupid that it’s not even worth commenting. Looking for Myself isn’t completely RnB or PoP. With R vs R Usher tried something new. As a result, he developed PoP fans. With Looking for Myself, Usher was merely tryna balance things. So what if he tried a few new things? Personally, I’m impressed with how much he has stepped out of his box as an artist. With regards to JT, he could never release an album (at least) every two years and still be so shockingly successful.

    [Reply]

    Levi Reply:

@jonathan, Are you sure about JT, releasing album every two years and not being successful? All of JT’s album has been successful, the same can’t be said about Usher. No one saying Usher shouldn’t step outside of the “BOX”, but working with David Guetta and focusing so much on EDM is not working outside of the box, its just jumping on the current bandwagon for success, and not staying true to his art.

    [Reply]

    yaya Reply:

@Levi, the song with David Guetta was for Guetta’s album. Was he suppose to make Guetta go R&B? Plus, Usher added R&B flavor to the song, which is why it was a hit.

Usher is part of the history of R & B…a legend!

As a music lover, I think that if Usher was merely jumping on some sort of ‘bandwagon for success’, he wouldn’t have released Climax, Lemme See or Dive as singles.Yeah, Climax and Dive are Pop-influenced in some instances – they are RnB-driven. How many of the songs on Looking for Myself can you say are not classic Usher? In recent times, traditional RnB had become predictable. I assume predictability wasn’t what he was looking for with his 7th studio album. In Looking for Myself, Usher demonstrates his liking for different genres of music. He intentionally does this to emphasize that he’s lost and, as such, tryna find himself. He didn’t need to jump on any bandwagon. Usher simply chose to challenge himself, try out a formula. Whether or not it worked is up to the listener. JT, on the other hand, has released only 3 solo albums within TWELVE YEARS! Seemingly that has been his way of staying ‘fresh’. His last album is by no means memorable and yet it’s been so successful. I’ve come to believe that one of the reasons why JT’s music has been so prosperous (in terms of sales) over the years is largely because of the hype that comes with being him, and not his art.

@jonathon, Yeah thats exactly right, if you actually listened to his album you would know that hes trying to take his art to another level. His album is definitely definitely cannot be defined as “pop”, because there is so much more to it.

why does JT on this post. STFU! usher marks the face of an r&b artist and helped the music industry. cuz y’all only buy generic pop album like NICKI or somethin. the only artist worth evry penny from then til now are mariah, destiny child jay, alicia, MJ. usher is not a exception. JT only last since he came from Nsync and that era was the PEAK of POP which today we all owe. most of these fans were born on that era cant deny that. which transended from pop to rnb/hiphop.

Usher last tour in 2011 (OMG Tour) was soldout worldwide. Miguel and Trey Songz. Usher’s tour was so successful he did a second leg and that soldout too. He finished top 10 nationally (U.S.) and worldwide. Usher has such a great musically catalog that people like myself will always pay to see him.
