New Music: Goodie Mob f/ Janelle Monáe – ‘Special Education’

Goodie Mob

Goodie Mob celebrates individuality on “Special Education,” their funky collaboration with Janelle Monáe. CeeLo and the gang craft witty verses over the industrial beat, while Janelle sings the melodic hook (“Don’t you wanna be special?”). The Atlanta group’s new album Age Against the Machine is due August 27 and a new CeeLo album is also on the way.

    I dig it.

The chorus levels out the heavy beats during the verses.
