New Music: Pharrell - 'Happy'

  /  05.21.2013

Despicable Me 2

Pharrell spreads some sunshine with “Happy,” one of the three original songs he contributed to the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack. The Neptunes hitmaker, who once again produced the soundtrack to the animated film with composer Heitor Pereira, lifts spirits and won’t let anything bring him down.

“Clap along if you know what happiness is to you,” he sings over the buoyant beat.

Pharrell has also recorded a collaboration with CeeLo Green called “Scream” for the sequel to the 2010 film. The soundtrack hits stores June 18, while the movie arrives July 3.

Get into the feel-good groove.
