Single Cover: Rihanna f/ David Guetta – ‘Right Now’

Right Now

While “Stay” remains in the top 10 on the Billboard 200, Rihanna has announced that the David Guetta-produced “Right Now” will serve as the next pop single off her album Unapologetic. She revealed the red-and-white artwork via Twitter, sporting short hair on the cover.

“#RIGHTNOW #BRANDNEW #SINGLECOVER #Unapologetic #SummerAnthem #NavyTakeOva,” tweeted RiRi, who is currently traveling across Europe on her “Diamonds World Tour.”

She recently shot a video for her urban single “Pour It Up” featuring pole dancers, blonde wigs, and dollar bills emblazoned with her face.

Unapologetic is a pretty solid album, but this is the worst cut on it.

I really don’t like that song. It’s not even on my itunes. That Jump and Numb never get play.

incredibly generic, even for rihanna. pretty much anything with david guetta is gonna be that way. might as well have added pitbull or jlo. lmao. people will love it cause its rihanna, and its all about the image. oh , the industry.

@d, people like her music because they like how she sounds…her songs are catchy as fuck, usually fun, sometimes powerful/relatable and she’s got a voice like no other.

Nobody Business or Mother Mary would have been better IMO. But RN it’s a nice song.

AND AS ALWAYS PEOPLE HERE DON’T UNDERSTAND WHAT IS MUSIC. First, Rihanna can release what the f*cking f*ck she wants. Second, just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean is trash. And third, this song is perfect for mainstream radio, specially summer.

    @Andy,

This song is just devoid of personality — and it’s not very hooky… Rihanna has has many single flops alongside her hits. Out of 5 singles released from Talk That Talk, only 2 went top 10…

Also, this is the only generic song on the album. It feels like it’s coming out of nowhere… So to release it as a single when literally any other song would have been a better representation of the album, is a bad idea.

So glad I am not the only one who thinks that song is a bad choice. True music listeners here I see. I like What Now,’ Love Without Tragedy,’ or No Love Allowed.’ Pretty sure if Homeo and Julietta didn’t break up, Nobody’s Business would be blazing the charts as we speak. But What Now is my cut.’ A very emotional and dynamic flow.

Wow, way to fail. Love Song would’ve been that summer heartbreak anthem. No Love Allowed could’ve been that hard summer song. Right Now is just so… ugh. It sounds like everything else out there, not even an inspired Calvin Harris edm beat. Hopefully its not a flop.

Yea not feeling it as a single choice but can’t say I’m surprised it was chosen. I just want love without tragedy/mother Mary to become a single because that song is EPIC

ppl please relax…rihanna was force to release Right Now FYI. It was her highest charting non-single to date…it only made sense to release it. mainstream had already started playing weeks ago and it was just officially release yesterday. You guys have no idea how anything works…and half of you are not the buying public so no ones give a fuk about what u wanted to be release, because you wasnt buying regardless.

She looks stunning on the cover. The song is ok. I guess if she was still with Chris she would have released “Nobody’s Business”. That would be a summer hit! Real sexy video too.

Stans get angry over anything. LMFAO. No one is bashing Rihanna, all they said is they don’t think it’s a good choice. You fools need to learn to differentiate between popular opinion/criticism and just plain out hate. Dumbass sheeple.

@Quest, and can’t the stans express their disagreement with the opinion of others? No? Oh, ok dumbass.

Definitely shocker that she chose this as her next single but when you stop and think about it, the summer is here and it’s will definitely be a summer’s anthem at raves, clubs and parties! The UK will kill this record which i think is another reason she chose this! ‘Right Now’ will be the international hit while ‘Pour It Up’ is for the US which is why she still shot the video!

Based off of how ‘Right Now’ sounds, imagine the video! #EPIC Can’t wait!!

Here in France, “Right Now” is gonna flop only because radios started to play it since since the leak of the album. Can y’all believe this? People are already tired of this song and it’s not even released yet. Lol.

I blame the U.S. pop radios ’cause they also started to play it a long time ago (I actually though this shitty song would skip “Stay” and become the 2nd single) so yeah they kinda had no choice but whatever. I don’t want Rih to sing that kind of songs anymore, “Right Now” would be nice for Jennifer Lopez, not for Rih. :/
