New Music: Wale f/ Rihanna – ‘Bad (Remix)’

Bad (Remix)

Wale does “Bad” with some help from the original bad girl, Rihanna, on the remix to his hit single. The pop star cries out on the sultry, yet sad hook, and even throws down some rhymes.

“Bad girls want a real ni**a,” she declares, while Wale raps, “All the bad girls always end up unapologetic.”

The original song features singer-songwriter Tiara Thomas, who just inked a deal with Rico Love’s Division1/Interscope Records.

In addition to RiRi and Tiara, Wale’s third album The Gifted (due June 25) features Nicki Minaj, CeeLo Green, 2 Chainz, and Jerry Seinfeld.

Rihanna really is the baddest in the game. Obviously Tiara Thomas did her thing (it is her song). But Rih puts that something in that is different to any other female out. Granted she aint got the best voice, but her tone, I dunno she has something.

    Badgalriri strikes again.

@Y., yea I love the young lady on the original so hopefully this doesn’t over shadow her but Rihanna truly killed this shit

    Rihsus Reply:

    @Y., Completely agree with this.
Tiara did just fine but Rihanna brought that extra flavor to the song.
    Queen Rihanna did it again!

Love how wale dedicated all this verses to RiRi. He basically bigs her up and explains why she’s the baddest! Dope song wish she woulda had a full verse tho

It’s a nice ‘club’ updated version, and I am sure the track will shoot up the charts now, but I prefer the underdog. The original will stay on my mp3.

Yea lord Jesus. Rihanna was perfect for the rihmix. Her voice is the perfect blend of sorrow/sadness as well angelic. Which works for emotional records like this, love the way you and stay.

It’ll probably go to #1 because Rihanna is on it lmfao…which is predictable, but good for Wale I guess.

Dope track but I still prefer the original. Tiara Thomas can SANG.

  9. Liquorice

dead @ Rihanna trying to sound exactly like Tiara. She always try to sound like someone else. I guess that’s because she isn’t creative enough to come up with some new arrangements. Wale is a bum ass bitch for doing this to Tiara tho.

    [Reply]

    Bri Reply:

@Liquorice, First of all rihanna is not trying to sound like anybody and she is creative y u so mad that she on the remix in this has nothing to do with stoping tiara shine

    [Reply]

    JuicyJuiceBox Reply:

@Bri, Girl shut yo dumb ass up and learn how to use punctuation. Rihanna ALWAYS tries to emulate the reference track. Perfect example, in her song “Diamonds”, she mimics the AUSTRALIAN songwriters pronunciation of the word “Diamonds”. @Liquorice is right…she ISN’T creative enough come up with any new arrangements or sound any different. She really just sounds lazy on this track to be honest. With that said, this is Tiara’s song, and her version slays this sh!t! Wale’s rap verses were better in the original as well. Some songs just shouldn’t be touched.

    [Reply]

    Liquorice Reply:

@Bri, dead @ me being mad, girl stop. You can’t deny that Rihanna is just not creative AT ALL when it comes to making songs her own. Like JuicyJuiceBox said, look at Diamonds, she really sounds like Sia, she totally mimics her. It’s just hilarious.

    [Reply]

    Omar Reply:

@Bri, You sound all kinds of foolish.

    [Reply]

    Dots Reply:

@Liquorice, I really don’t believe she does that. But IF that’s tha case, there must be something in HER tone that makes worldwide singles possible.

    [Reply]

    Dots Reply:

@Dots, & obviously tha arrangement is different, since it sounds kind of like Loveeeeee Song.

    [Reply]

    Liquorice Reply:

@Dots, fucking death @ the arrangement is different, girl wash your ears because Rihanna almost sounds like Tiara. Oh and as if Rihanna came up with that Loveeeeee Song arrangement. *screams* It has NOTHING to do with Rihanna’s tone that gets her these WW hits. It’s her label that pumps millions in her songs to be hits. Rihanna is a damn label puppet and you can’t deny that. I mean even her label compared Rihanna to a fucking iPhone! LMFAO like it can’t get more worse than that right? She’s a damn joke and no one takes her serious, that’s why she’s losing all these endorsement deals.

    [Reply]

    joseph Reply:

@Liquorice, for me it’s the same but you can’t deny rihanna is successful !!! this duet is marketing bussiness that’s all

Yal are pure fuckin haters..If you aren’t feeling the remix, that’s fine, but to say disrespectful shit about a woman you don’t know is uncalled for. Yes it was Tiara’s song, and yes she is gonna get paid EVEN MORE for her part. And Tiara was quite excited that Rihanna was on the remix. Wale is still wanting to work with her on more projects, and she just got signed with interscope. Yal creating bad blood when there isn’t any.
