Tracklisting: J. Cole – ‘Born Sinner’

Born Sinner

With less than two weeks to go, J. Cole reveals the official tracklisting for his sophomore album Born Sinner. The standard edition features 16 tracks, while the deluxe adds five, which he considers Truly Yours 3.

The follow-up to his 2011 debut Cole World: The Sideline Story includes the Miguel-assisted single “Power Trip,” “Crooked Smile” featuring TLC, and the much-buzzed-about “Let Nas Down.”

The guest list also includes Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, Jhené Aiko, Amber Coffman of Dirty Projectors, James Fauntleroy, and Bas.

Cole moved up the release date to June 18 to compete directly with Kanye West’s Yeezus. “It’s a definite statement about how I feel about my album, which is confident,” he told Billboard of the decision.

@letmeloveu, I guess he decided those were two collabs he couldn’t pass up on. I’m here for it though. C’mon we know Kendrick is a lyricist so them trading bars will be dope. 50 is dope too. I’m so glad he didn’t get any overexposed rappers or singers on the album. Wayne, Ross, Mill, Chris Brown are always featured on EVERY song it seems. Nice to get a change.

@letmeloveu, kendrick won’t be rapping on the album. j.cole stated in an interview that he is using a rapper’s voice on born sinner. and he never said anything about no rappers being on the deluxe.

@az, I cannot WAIT! Kanye may outsell him but kanye will have a hard time out-spitting him! Cuz lets be honest, Ye hasn’t been to clever with his wordplay lately. From cruel summer to his two new singles.

You people are obviously not real Cole fans. He said they wont be rapping you’ll just hear their voices. Kendrick Lamar does sing in case you havent noticed. Ever heard of Bitch Dont Kill My Vibe? Anywho…I’m excited!!!!!

    [Reply]

    AB-SOULO Reply:

@Speechless, what is it with the “your not a real cole fan” nonsense i’m always hearing. Its perfectly reasonable for us to think kendrick would rap, because after all he is a RAPPER. He could’ve just changed it last minute or something for all we know.

Aight even if he said no other rappers wtf does it matter ain’t it just Kendrick? Besides have we been waiting for them to make a track together?. There you go, 50ty’s just for the deluxe aka (TRULY YOUR 3)

Interesting titles. I can’t wait to listen to it. Both Power Trip and Crooked Smile were a pleasure to listen to and the fact that they’re very different tracks shows that Born Sinner will have some diversity.
