Jay-Z Previews New Song 'Oceans' Featuring Frank Ocean
The countdown is on to Magna Carta Holy Grail. With exactly one week to go, Jay-Z continues to tease with more goodies. After revealing the lyrics to the Justin Timberlake-assisted “Holy Grail” earlier in the week, HipHop-N-More has unearthed the lyrics to “Oceans” featuring Frank Ocean.
Jay explains the meaning behind the piano-driven song. “It sounds like a celebration of where we are now on some big yacht, throwing champagne in the water,” he tells Rick Rubin. “But the undertow of the thing is that this is the same water that brought us here originally as slaves, so it has this old duality and how we are rewriting history.”
On July 4, Samsung will release 1 million free copies of Magna Carta Holy Grail to Galaxy S III, Galaxy S 4, and Note II owners before the rest of the world receives it on July 9.
