Earl Sweatshirt Reveals ‘Doris’ Cover, Tracklisting

Doris

Odd Future has produced superstars including Frank Ocean and Tyler, the Creator. Now all eyes are on its youngest member, Earl Sweatshirt, whose new album Doris is due next month.

The 19-year-old rapper posted a screenshot of his computer, which shows the tracklisting, but no features. The lineup includes 15 songs with mostly one-word titles like “Sasquatch” and “Molasses.”

He has been in the studio with Tyler and Om’Mas Keith, who worked on Frank Ocean’s Grammy-winning album channel ORANGE.

“Earl’s album is very special, very creative,” Om’Mas told Rap-Up TV. “There are some very special people on that, and I think Earl is definitely a contender for Best Rap Album of the year next year for sure. I see Earl with Best Rap Album. I see Earl with Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. I definitely see him with a slew of acknowledgements next year.”

Tyler also weighed in on the music. “IVE HAD DORIS FOR A WEEK AND I LIKE IT. ALOT. I HAVE THE WEAKEST BEATS ON THERE TBH,” he tweeted.

Doris is due August 20. See the tracklisting below.

UPDATE: The tracklisting has been updated to include features from Frank Ocean, Tyler, the Creator, Mac Miller, RZA, and more (via iTunes).

@carlos, same idea, i was talking bout the cover. This guy is no way near Kendrick’s level.

@Zack,I don’t think you’re acquainted with Earl if you can say that without a moment of reconsideration. He’s a lyrical powerhouse

@Zack, you sound insecure. no one even mentioned kendrick. only you did before you started comparing them for no reason. you shook?

    [Reply]

    Zack Reply:

@ewtq, huh? I think their covers look alike, im not trying to throw shade on Earl whatsoever. Same sort font, black white photo of a young rapper. See the resemblance?

    [Reply]

    carlos Reply:

@Zack, either you are retarded or not even a real kendrick lamar fan because if you actually brought his album you would know that one gkmc cover is of a car and the other is a family photo with kendrick as a baby and both covers are NOT in black and white

and you said “This guy is no way near Kendrick’s level” of course you was tryna “throw shade”

listen i suggest you just get off this post and wait for the next kendrick lamar post so you can post your b.s on there instead

    Kam Reply:

@Zack, When I saw the cover it reminded me of kendrick’s album cover too.

    Zack Reply:

@Kam, see, im not the only one!

    @carlos
I never said im a real kendrick lamar fan. To be honest, ive never copped an album in my live, all downloaded em. So, i didnt know that indeed. But the cover is black and white(ish) and come on, if you put them next to eachother you can see the comparison in cover art

I said Earl was nowhere near kendrick because i thought that was what the first commenter was commenting on. I thought you meant in quality. Cause dont get me wrong, im gonna listen this album. And ill probably like it. But i dont think it can surpass kendrick.

    @what, could be

    [Reply]

    Zack Reply:

@what, nah man, no way. Yeezus, MCHG, Born Sinner, Nothing Was The Same, Hall of Fame and Eminem’s new album are all(going to be) better. Even Wale, 2 Chainz, Chris Brown, Pusha T and Wiz Khalifa their album could be better.

    [Reply]

    what Reply:

@Zack, MCHG was mediocre at best. Yeezus was good but nothing stellar. Eminem has dropped a great album in 10 years
And you gotta be joking with that struggle list of rappers…. Wale, Big Sean, Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa????……

    [Reply]

    Zack Reply:

@what, mchg was good, i think better as this one. Yeezus was different but good. Eminem is a legend, recovery was less as his old ones, but still good. Big Sean is really gonna surprise, i believe in that album. These others im saying they COULD be better, not they will be better.

what made you click on and write this dumb ish
youre the type of person that thinks chris brown is good at rapping and thinks tyga is the prince of l.a
i bet you think justin biebers album should of won a grammy

@carlos, why are all you people so easily annoyed? I have got nothing against Earl sweatshirt and im gonna listen his album. Really. I just dont think it will be the best album of the year, thats all, jeez, lemme have an opinion.

@2bad2bme, sometimes I write own titles of my imaginary album and end up with one word titles so I’m guessing bad quality/quick work :p

Earl is 1 of the top 5 out right now. MF DOOM is on his new joint. How many rappers under 20 have a DOOM guest spot. Did that guy Zack really try to put MCHG in the same convo? Sad…
