Beyoncé Remembers Trayvon Martin at Nashville Concert

Beyoncé

While celebrities were paying tribute to Trayvon Martin on social media, Beyoncé honored the slain teenager by observing a moment of silence for him on stage during her “Mrs. Carter Show World Tour” in Nashville last night.

“I’d like to have a moment of silence for Trayvon,” said Bey (via AP), whose concert at Bridgestone Arena started about 30 minutes after the not guilty verdict was read.

As she does at each show, she then sang part of Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” before segueing into “Halo.”

Watch a clip of her singing “I Will Always Love You” in memory of Trayvon.

So pathetic. Not guilty. Live with it. Not even the so called queen b can change that. So I guess if your a B fan you only get a moment if silence if your black. What a joke.

She’s not an activist. Stop trying to make something negative out of this. This case got a lot of attention and a lot of people that attended the concert probably felt bad about it. I don’t know what color you are, but her having a moment of silence for Trayvon, doesn’t say anything about how she feels about violence in general.

@Chloé Magnolia, If she said something about all the innocent babies being shot down in their car seats in Chicago I could respect that. But just like the rest of the idiots she ignores the truly innocent and supports a questionable case with lots of doubts.

If she would’ve said something about that, people would’ve been complaining about how she didn’t say anything about the next tragedy. There’s a ton of bad things going on in the world and just because someone decides to shed light on one thing, doesn’t make them an idiot. She can’t speak for everyone and she doesn’t have to.

@Rocsinatra, you are the only one who brought race into this beyonce said nothing about that. Where were you when she sang to a white cancer patient live on stage. Shut you racist ass up you’re showing who you are and that’s plain ignorant.

@Rocsinatra, Get over it dude. People are dealing with it. They’re upset at the injustice about it the situation. So your callous and smart ass attempt to make this into some race baiting bullshit because Beyoncé dare to acknowledge (GASP!) a black person’s life makes her a “black racist” or is a showcase of “black racism?” I can’t keep up with the bullshit terms you people use. Anyhoo, it is what it is. If you got a fucking problem with it, then go elsewhere. Simple. #Next

@runzayy it’s ok…. Actually it’s “what your saying. You’ll learn don’t worry. Grammar is easier after the first grade.

@Rocsinatra, it’s always funny when a person points out grammar flaws to try and make a point. It’s a cheap shot.

    SdotB Reply:

@CharlieTheUnicorn, it’s especially funny when there’s still an error in their correction lol

    [Reply]

    Kam Reply:

@Rocsinatra, actually it would be ‘what you’re saying’

    [Reply]

    SdotB Reply:

@Rocsinatra, well it’s quite obvious you haven’t made it past the first grade because your correction is still incorrect. The correct way is “what you’re saying” …

Smh, I tell you people get behind a keyboard and try to act like they’re all politically, morally, and even (in this case) grammatically correct, and it never fails that they’re the ones who are making the fool of themselves lol
