Chris Brown Gives Back in Compton

Chris Brown

Chris Brown is using his star power for a good cause. The R&B superstar showed his support for Trayvon Martin while passing out Reebok sneakers to youth at Roy Campanella Park in Compton during the second “WE US: Walk Everywhere in Unity’s Shoes” event held this month.

He brought together L.A. City Council members, the LAPD, and youth development organizations to help “inspire a message of unity.”

“Thankful for all of the people who came together to help give back today!” tweeted Breezy.

In advance of his upcoming album X, he previewed some unreleased tracks including “Favorite Girl” and “It’s Your Fantasy” for his Chris Brown Channel subscribers.

“Love More,” his new single featuring Nicki Minaj, is expected to debut by the end of this month.

@Graeme, Breezy is doing good by making kids happy, and advancing his positive image but I just wish all these rich black people in America can set up a school that educate young kids to be better… that will change the polarization in America beyond hand outs

@Layla, haha exactly, isn’t the terming “giving back” usually used when talking about someones home town? LA never gave you anything growing up so how are you giving back? I’m sure there’s things that can be done in Tappahannock, VA where you grew up. Never forget where you came from because the public certainly won’t

He has a history of charity donations – he just wasn’t too public with it before.
At the age of 17, Brown donated $50,000 from his “Up Close and Personal Tour” to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Shoes doesn’t matter where they are from it’s still going to people who need it . STOP trying to find the negative out of somthing positive.
