Chris Brown Pleads Not Guilty to Hit-and-Run

Chris Brown

Chris Brown has pled not guilty to a hit-and-run charge, stemming from a minor car accident, which led to his probation getting revoked.

According to TMZ, the “Fine China” singer must go to a police station to get booked and will have to take a mug shot by August 6.

His next court date in the hit-and-run case is August 15.

He also has to appear in court in August for a separate probation violation hearing in the Rihanna assault case.

The remaining charges from the car accident, driving without a valid license and proof of insurance, were dismissed.

Earlier this month, a judge revoked Chris’ probation following the hit-and-run charge, but he was released on his own recognizance.

Chris tweeted his innocence after the accident. “I did everything I was suppose to do during the so called hit n run, I provided the correct info. There were no injuries or damages. C’mon!!” he wrote.

If the judge determines that he has violated his probation, he faces up to four years in prison.

@PEACHEZ, people do good deeds everyday, you shouldn’t receive a medal everytime you do a good deed. and when he does something positive it is talked about, but negatives outshine positives. Chris Brown is being treated just as fair as any other celebrity by the media. If he doesn’t want negative news about him stop doing negative things

@what, @PEACHEZ, For me it’s like this. What Chris Brown did was not okay but it was a one time thing. I don’t think you can call someone a wifebeater for life if they make one mistake so i’m able to forgive. But once it happens for the second time then you can’t excuse it after that….then he’s a wife beater. No one knows what happened in that car and we all no Rihanna can be crazy so it easily could’ve been an intense moment in a car between to big egos and it ended badly. I just wished it wasn’t brought up every f*cking time Chris has a story on Rap-up…it’s soooooooooo boring now….4 years….Time to move on (They Have).

@Will, wrong. Verbal assault, which Chris has done, severely times, is just as bad as physical assault.

Calling the woman (that you were cheating on, by the by) you nearly killed a ho in a freestyle is vile, disgusting and uncouth.

Chris Brown is not the victim here. I don’t understand what you people don’t get about it.

Also, Rihanna “getting crazy” is no excuse to bite her fingers, ears and wrap arms around her neck. Chris, being the mature, grown man that he so very often claims to be, could have walked away.

Ok I’m confused. So the charges from the hit and run were dismissed. But he still has to be booked and take a mug shot for that. And since the judge revoked his probation because of the hit and run case he could go to jail even tho the charges from the hit and run where dismissed.Makes no sense to me

if the so called hit & run case was dismissed, why is the DA troubling him?

Rap-up[ you need to research your facts correct, his August 15 case solely about probation violation allegations.

I doubt the DA has anything on the kid.. they should just let that kid live his life..gosh!

Breezy just can’t seem to win, I really don’t see what he did wrong in this particular situation. It’s true he did bring it on himself, and maybe all of this BS is what he is meant to go through since he wasn’t given jail time. It has been 4 1/2 years since the incident, it doesn’t take away from what he did, but I don’t really care to see him continually punished for it. He has to watch every little thing he says and does because the media crucifies him and people are always trying to stick charges on him. I hope one day, he’ll be able to get over his anger issues, rise above the BS, get his sh*t together, and just focus on being the great entertainer he has the potential to be.

If u get into an accident in Cali and give the. Wrong info it will be classifieds a hit & run. That’s what he did wrong.

He probably wont get convicted in the hit and run because most of the charges were dismissed and I dont see how its a hit and run if you stayed and gave your information. The probation is a whole different story, I hope he got all his papers in order.

This shit was and is bogus from the start and shouldn’t have been charged. He gave the info needed and he shouldn’t have been charged with hit and run. He didn’t run, it wasn’t his car, he provided info, ok so. It is all about the green, and looks like that’s what the chic is going to get.
