New Music: Jay Sean – ‘Neon’ [Album Stream]

Neon

After a lengthy delay, Jay Sean will release his fourth album Neon on Tuesday. Four days before it goes on sale, the Cash Money crooner has made the project available for streaming on VEVO and YouTube.

The 14-track follow-up to 2009’s All or Nothing includes the singles “Where You Are” and the Rick Ross-assisted “Mars,” plus appearances from Ace Hood (“All on Your Body”) and Busta Rhymes (“Break of Dawn”).

“The album is the best piece of work I’ve done to date, without a doubt in the last 10 years,” Jay told Rap-Up TV. “This album is a mixture of R&B, of pop, of some rock influence as well, of hip-hop influence. It really took us a long time to get it right, but I’m so proud of it.”

Miss popular, close to you, deep end, worth it all, passenger side are the best……passenger side is prob the best on the album but deep end would make a good single.

Passenger Side is a monster of a song, true R&B joint. On the whole the album is pretty good, better than i expected, 1′d say 7.5/10 – too many pop records to get a higher mark from me

He’s been irrelevant for so long so he can forget about selling albums in the US. He’s gotta promote his singles properly to help him get to the top again. If Mars and Passenger Side have good music videos and good promo (maybe a remix with Drake or go to radio shows with Lil Wayne) then he’ll be back in the public eye, otherwise some of these great songs will just go unheard of
