Video: OMG Girlz – ‘Baddie’

OMG Girlz

The OMG Girlz turn up and rep for their fellow fly chicks in the video for “Baddie.” The teen sensations, comprised of Beauty, Star, and Baby Doll, rock colorful hair and outfits as they drop it low and show off their moves.

The group bestowed Beyoncé with her original Instagram name Baddie Bey. “It goes so far beyond the music ’cause she’s such a good person too,” they said of the superstar. “She’s just really sweet and she really cares about her fans. … But when it’s time for business, she handles hers.”

Signed to T.I.’s Pretty Hustle label, the trio plans to release an EP around Labor Day featuring a collaboration with their tourmates Mindless Behavior.

This is a MESS!!!! Why would they release this atrocity when they have better songs that actually might be hits, like Do You Remember. This is AWFUL!

These girls have potential, but they’re trying to grow up too fast. Not saying they have to be all cute and girly like they’re a group of seven year olds, but they could have dressed a little differently. No shade, but this is not the best song or video they have ever done (in MY opinion). I like them, but not THIS. Hopefully they’ll come out with something better…..

    [Reply]

@Wow, @Oh, @Kiaira They’re 17 and 18 years old. The song is talking about going out to have fun at a club or something. When going to a teen club that’s how you dress. How were you dressing at that age? Dancing and having fun with your friends and not caring abut what other people are saying about you is not acting like a hood rat its being a teenager. If they were going out talking about starting fights and stuff that would be hoodratish. But they’re not. and strippers can’t afford the stuff in this video.

They’re talented, but if only their image didn’t come off as “ratchet”. You know, the hair colors, the outfits, etc.? It makes people not want to take them serious, without even giving their music a chance, nor a first listen. Hopefully, as they grow, they’ll realize. I don’t want to doubt that, but they’re from ATL. They love that sh*t….

I didn’t like the video as a fan of them. I felt like it was cheap and Babydoll just over did it for me. Its a shame that Tiny doesn’t present them better. They have amazing songs with very good lyrics but the autotune is horrible. There voices are unique, expesicailly Star, but all that autotune is hiding it. There new hair is great. They actually do a lot better live than they use to. Not having Interscope to back them up anymore, I hope Tiny does this group justice because there potential is great!

They better be careful cause people are ready to replace like that, and they seem spoiled and conceited especially the one with pink hair (I guess cause she’s the only one who can sing), but there only hurting themselves I guess cause they have T.I they better watch out cause Fifth Harmony is ready to replace them. The thing with this business is one day your in and the next day your out, same thing happening with Grand Hustle can’t think of one artist that’s killing the charts.

This was a hot mess. I don’t know who they are targeting because last time I checked their fan base was pre-teen and teenage girls. They all have unique talents and this song/video did not do them justice. I don’t feel that they are maturing but what they are doing is making themselves overly sexualized and it will backfire because parents won’t let their kids listen or watch them and what adult wants to to hear this quite honestly.

    [Reply]

  15. Kenn

The video was great, they’re acting their age which is 17 & 18 ppl just need to get over the fact that they are not wearing tutu’s anymore like they’re 12. And with the hair and costume Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj are always changing their hair color and costume so why can’t OMG do it too? Fifth Harmony is not gonna replace them trust me I mean both groups are good but Fifth Harmony will not replace them. Also Interscope does not have their back 100% so they have to work with what they have. Also Babydoll is not being too over the top she is just keeping the video interesting because for a while she came off as shy and now its good to see she broke out of that shell. Bahja(Beauty) is not acting conceited she just knows what she working with and even though she is the best singer Zonnique(Star) can sing also. These girls have a lot of potential, so dont sleep on them and if you do you’ll regret it.

I LOVE the OMG Girlz! They are Amazing. Haters gone be haters at the end of the day Interscope only cares for Mindless Behavior they back them up 100% and I love Mindless Behavior too but they should treat both groups the same Point Blank Period. If Interscope wasnt gone back up the OMG Girlz 100% they shouldn’t have signed them! So I give the OMG Girlz two thumbs up cause they don’t have a album out but they going on tours and doing the Damn thing! I Love the OMG Girlz and I’m gone forever be #TeamOMG. I don’t have a problem with how the dress cause when I was 17 and 18 years old I was dressing like that and I’m now 22yrs old. So to the OMG Girlz y’all keep doing what y’all doing and forget the Haters. Star(Zonnique)and Beauty(Bahja) both have amazing voices, one doesn’t out sing the other cause they have their own unique voice. Babydoll(Breaunna)her rapping be on point, she not Lil Kim or Nicki Minaj she’s Babydoll, you cant expect them to sound like people they’re not, why cause they are The OMG Girlz!

    Stan4QB Reply:

@Amber, The OMG Girlz gained a bigger following from simply being affiliated with Mindless Behavior. If MB wasn’t here the Scream tour would be their first and last tour. Of course their label dgaf about them. A label is a business. They’re trying to earn money by signing talented, undoubtedly lucrative acts. The OMG Girlz have not shown any Destiny’s Child, TLC-ish type promise, which means there’s a high chance they’re not going to be much more successful than this.

Star, think she ALL THAT because her parents are T.I. and Tiny!!! Boo nobody care. Babydoll is really cute!!! Beauty….uhhh she think SHE CAN TWERK…..SHE CAN’T and STOP wearing them booty shorts!!! They are too SHORT!!!! I hate them so much!!!!

@Kiaira, Have you ever watched one of their youtube vidoes of them being themselves and not who they are on stage. They act like normal people. They aren’t conceited and they don’t think they are everything. They are very humbled and they know that they are blessed to be where they are. They also have videos that speak about them and mindless behavior’s relationship. They think of them like siblings and babydoll and known one of the boys since she was 4. They are big supporters of each other and they act like family. How about you become famous and make the money they make then try to talk about them.

F the haters.. I love them and the video. A lot of kids look up to nicki minaj and she talks about explicit things in her music, but it’s all good. Nothing is wrong about how they dress 17 and 18 year olds dress like that. People just need to stfu

  20. Therecia

They look a hot mess. Their fanbase is ages 5-12 and the video was all over the place. Just because your growing up doesnt mean you can dress any kind of way. They should not be compared to Destiny’s Child/ TLC because neither of them were talking bout some Gucci, Shopping, money, or twerking. They need a new manager and a real actual label to back them up PROFESSIONALLY.

    [Reply]

    Kilo Reply:

@Therecia, They’re fanbase is older. I’m 18 and I constantly listen to they’re music. They’re allowed to dress for they’re age and the time they live in. They weren’t overly revealing and they weren’t acting like whores and stuff they were club dancing and having fun which is basically what the song is talking about.
