Chris Brown Says ‘X’ May Be His Last Album

Chris Brown

Is Chris Brown hanging up the mic? The R&B superstar is contemplating retirement after his next album.

Breezy took to Twitter on Tuesday to make the shocking announcement. “Don’t worry mainstream America. After this X album, it’ll probably be my last album,” he told his followers.

He appeared to be frustrated by the constant scrutiny and negative portrayal in the media. “Being famous is amazing when it’s for ur music and talent,” he continued. “I’m tired of being famous for a mistake I made when i was 18. I’m cool & over it!”

The day before Brown turned himself in to an L.A. jail for his hit-and-run case, a day ahead of schedule. According to TMZ, he was booked and released on his own recognizance within 45 minutes.

His sixth and possibly final album X is due later this summer featuring appearances from Kendrick Lamar, Kelly Rowland, Wiz Khalifa, and Rihanna. He recently shot a video for his Nicki Minaj-assisted single “Love More.”

But I do feel he needs to sit back behind the scene and just write and make hits for people, people will never let what happened between him and Rihanna go. They were both young and it’s old news, and they are both past it. But of course White America won’t never let that be in the past.

But then again CB has said stuff like this before, so he might just be depressed right now and will be happy tomorrow. He also shouldn’t pay attention to the media and read things, because that would make anybody depressed.

you compare Chris Brown to a girl who can’t sing correctly, can’t dance, can’t act (battleship was the joke of the year), and can’t even write her own song….. THAT’S A LOT FOR ONLY ONE PERSON….

yes the hits of CB are rare , but so the MJ hits were, and rihanna is nothing compared to MJ, so all the song you gave are useless…YOU GET IT???other exemple, bc i see that you’re naive… in my country, and in yours too , britney spears had a lot of hits, “classics” , but Franck ocean had no one, and is broadcast only on the hiphop radio stationS…. but we all know that britney spears is a stupid autotune pop girl with no talent (almost everything like your fave), and that Franck Ocean is one of the most talented artist of our generation so…. once again I proved that numbers are nothing…

and STOP giving us the song of you favorite “singer” because the most of them are garbage … but media want you to buy it so dumb people like you don’t hesitate to buy the shit… typical

I actually like Chris, his second album is one of my favorite R&B projects actually. Ever since the incident, it’s inevitable things won’t change for Chris. His first two albums were multi-platinum successes, while his last album hasn’t even gold yet in addition to being critically panned. The media is always going to antagonize Chris. Whenever he makes a mistake they blow it up to epic proportions, and whenever he does something good they don’t want to focus on that. People are always trying to sue him and get him in trouble, slander him, he’s lost Rihanna again apparently, I can see how he’d be tired of it all. I liked Fine China and Don’t Think They Know, his album might be pretty good, but even still, I think it’s best if he takes a break. I don’t think he should retire forever, but he should go on a hiatus for a few years and stay out of the spotlight. Just ghostwrite for a few artists and do a guest feature here or there, but for the most part, spend time with his friends and family and find some peace. Then maybe one day, when he’s ready, he’ll hopefully record the album of his life and come back to success. That may or may not be a stretch, but I would like to see that happen to him.

I see alot of Rihanna/Derulo stans up in here having a good old giggle. Utter idiots.

The music industry would be a lost place without Chris Brown. He is a gifted singer- songwriter, an dancer, a entertainer and artist. Who would we have representing male RnB/Pop? Freak’n Jason Derulo? Ne-yo???? GET OUT OF HERE!!!!
The only reason people are still hang up over 09 is because Chris Brown is black and he has managed, by God’s grace, to re-build a career for himself. SOME individuals don’t believe blacks deserve a second chance or even forgiveness. The media portray him as a troubled black male who is constantly assaulting women. Tell me the last time Chris actually did something wrong worthy of JAIL and this media harassment? *Crickets*
This is purely a race issue. There has been countless celebrities who have assaulted there partners and have been allowed to be forgiven. Sean Penn, Charlie Sheen, Mel Gibson, Tommy Lee, Josh Brolin have all been violent to there partners but why are they warranted forgiveness??? BECAUSE THEY ARE WHITE!. Read your books kids, WE ARE NOT EQUAL TO SOME MEMBERS OF SOCIETY. Tell me why Sharon Osbourne (A white Lady) was ALLOWED to say Justin Bieber’s latest bad behaviour is him TRYING TO ACT BLACK?

This whole Chris Brown issue has got nothing to do with defending Rihanna and women who have suffered domestic abuse. If it was, they would be highlighting the fact he works closely with domestic charities and raises awareness of what NOT to do. They would be praises him on seeking help and trying to overcome his demons. They would be trying to understand how a boy who saw domestic violence in his own home can also repeat that to his future partner.
Instead, they ENJOY reminding him of his PAST mistake. Now tell me who is the biggest abuser here? It sure doesn’t sound like Chris Brown.

Society loves to build and destroy celebrities. They did this to MJ, Whitney, Amy Winehouse and now Amanda Barnes. It is only when they die that they glorify them. Utter disgrace. Instead of helping people learn from there mistakes, they make show they never forget what they did. If you can take pleasure out of seeing someones down fall, then you are sick. Look in the mirror and think you could have been in that same position.

Wake up. Read a book and educate yourselves to how life works. Some of you are too judgemental to a point where you are deluded.

What is beautiful about Christopher Maurice Brown, is his hunger to be a better person. We should all do that.

I have a problem of the media labelling who can live and who can’t live. This is a free world, this isn’t china.
