New Music: Stalley - 'Honest Cowboy' [Mixtape]

Maybach Music’s Stalley saddles up and rides out with his mixtape Honest Cowboy. The Ohio rapper grabs features from Scarface (“Swangin'”) and ScHoolboy Q (“NineteenEighty7”) on the 10 tracks, with production from DJ Quik, Cardo, Block Beataz, Terrace Martin, and S1.

“I’ve always been infatuated with cowboys being that my father was somewhat of a cowboy,” said Stalley, whose father worked on farms in Ohio and San Antonio. “Cowboys are some of the most honest people that you can meet. There’s no in between with them. They tell you how it is, whether you like it or not. And that’s how my father was and that’s how I am.”

Stalley will also appear on MMG’s upcoming Self Made 3 compilation, due September 17.
