Estelle Launches Independent Label, Readies Album for February

Estelle

Estelle is taking her career into her own hands. The British singer has launched her independent label, New London Records, in partnership with BMG.

As part of the deal, Estelle will maintain creative control over all of her current and future music endeavors.

“This is a new and exciting move for me,” said Estelle. “BMG has been an awesome partner throughout my career, and with New London we plan to continue bridging the gap between soul, pop, London, and New York—uniting them through music.”

Her fourth album will be released in February 2014 on New London Records.

In the meantime, she is readying her 3-volume EP Love & Happiness under her new label. The first installment, Vol. 1: Love Jones, is available now featuring the single “Call These Boys.” Vol. 2: Waiting to Exhale will drop later month followed by Vol. 3: How Stella Got Her Groove Back in October.

Estelle was previously signed to John Legend’s HomeSchool/Atlantic Records.

@kate, Estelle makes rihanna and nicki minaj look like chopped liver. Her voice is the voice of a queen. She should be in a number 1 spot. I’d love to see her in concert.

I LOVE ESTELLE!!!… But I just don’t like the fact that she gave up on her “All Of Me” album. She could’ve released the anticipated and most buzzed about song with her, and Janelle Monae called “Do My Thing”, and could’ve re-release the album with new material and remixed some of the songs, and took those stupid interludes off… But, with that being said… I’m looking forward to new, better organized, well written, and quality produced material from Estelle since her mixtapes this year are EVERYTHING!!! and I’m proud of her becoming a more business savvy woman with her own label!!! I Love Me Some Estelle!!!
