J. Cole and Jennifer Hudson Perform ‘Crooked Smile’ at VH1’s Do Something! Awards

J. Cole and Jennifer Hudson

J. Cole and J. Hud joined forces to perform his single “Crooked Smile” at VH1’s 2013 Do Something! Awards last month in Hollywood. The Roc Nation rapper stripped down the inspirational song, while the Oscar winner filled in for TLC on the soulful hook.

Cole sampled Jennifer’s 2011 song “No One Gonna Love You” on the Born Sinner track.

“Performing with j cole was like performing with prince to me. He’s such a good guy. So honored!” tweeted J. Hud, who was recognized for her Julian D. King Gift Foundation, which was created in honor of her late nephew.

Watch them come together for the special performance.

@fonkyfresh, Them bitches been MIA ever since the song was announced. If they don’t have their asses in the music video, I’m lighting a fire in their mentions. This is ridiculous.
