Album Cover: Drake - 'Nothing Was the Same'

  /  08.21.2013

Nothing Was the Same
Started as a baby, now he’s here. Drake illustrates his evolution from childhood to manhood on the cover art for his third album Nothing Was the Same. He revealed the two covers on his website OVOSound.com and confirmed the new September 24 release date.

The illustrated artwork was designed by artist Kadir Nelson, who designed the cover for Michael Jackson’s posthumous album Michael. One cover shows a profile of the Toronto MC as a baby with an Afro pick in his hair, while the other image depicts a grown-up Drizzy against the same sky blue backdrop.

The follow-up to 2011’s Take Care features the singles “Started From the Bottom” and “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” with contributions from Jay Z, Lil Wayne, and Hudson Mohawke.

Check out the second cover below.
