Rico Love is the mastermind behind hits for some of your favorite artists including Beyoncé (“Sweet Dreams”), Kelly Rowland (“Motivation”), and Usher (“There Goes My Baby”). Now the hitmaker steps into the spotlight with his first EP Discrete Luxury.
The five-track collection, available Tuesday on iTunes, includes a collaboration with his Division1 artist Tiara Thomas (Wale’s “Bad”).
He gives the middle finger to his former flame on “To My Ex,” which serves as a painful reminder of what she left behind. The break-up song also features a venomous verse from Tiara, who puts her ex in his place.
Rico plans to release his full-length debut Turn the Lights On next year.
